Good food, great service (even if you do need to order at the counter). Brilliant bar staff. Just add a bug zapper to get rid of the flies indoors and you'll have a 5 star review. We'll be back.

Had a girls night recently.There was no complaints about the food, the staff and service was amazing. We were moved outside as our group was cold in the aircon but the amenities are awesome, a great little play area for kids and great atmosphere.It’s great to see some good places to eat coming back to a small town

Great location and service, however the food was below average (and pricey). I would love to support the Impy, but the menu was uninspired and not good. We won't be back any time soon

We went here when it first opened and really enjoyed it. The meals were large and 5 stars for a pub feed… 2 months on and the quality has dropped significantly. 2 stars is pushing it. Portion size has halved, taste was terrible. When we complained to staff they said they weren’t making money on the bigger meals so made portion sizes smaller. It was explained that the normal chef wasn’t there and the chef was still learning that was on shift. No compensation was offered on our three main meals and 2 starters ordered. We won’t be going back for dinner again. Lunch special is maybe worth it. Disappointing as we had such high hopes for a nice pub to brighten this drab town up

Heard from others that a new pub had opened on the beachfront. Thought it was a good place to have lunch. The food was minimal, with small portions on smaller plates. Received food after 90 minutes. Chicken was dry and mushy, looked like a microwave dinner. Salmon was bland and tasteless, crispy skin was removed. Bar staff were apologetic and nice, but did not mention hour long wait when ordering. They charge full price for minimal bland portions of food. Disappointing to say the least, and upsetting for the cost they charged us for the rubber food.

We have been going there every week since they reopened, while the staff have always been very friendly and efficient, today unfortunately was the worst it has been, I can accept that they were offering a limited menu due to the public holiday ( looking after the staff in having them deal with less options on a busy day is a good thing ), but, it took 50 minutes to get fish and Chip's, and then when the wait staff apologised for the wait but added the cook is a piece of work today"

The Imperial Tavern Innisfail is an iconic restaurant that has been around for decades. After a lengthy closure period, it is now re-opened again in December 2022, with new and old clients. Myself and family members recently dined there to see what the new improved Imperial Tavern was like. I must say, I was little disappointed with our lunch due to the flies around our food and average food despite being reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and cheerful who can't wait to meet guests at lunch time as well as other times of days as much as possible. Overall I would rate this venue for what it's worth but it still has lot of room for improvement regarding management and chefs

Just has been done up. Great sitting area outside. Plenty of Sports on the TV's. Great food. Met some friendly locals. Had a good chat. Meal came out in good time. Thanks will drop in again one day
