Barrier Reef Motel
A clean but small old room with a comfy bed. Had to pay extra for a room with a tiny desk, which made the stay here overpriced. Reception and resurant on site close early.

Clean room. Kind and understanding staff. Quiet place and just one of those hotels where you know the customer comes first.Microwave, fridge, good coffee and tea. Parking is well thought out. And if you have any concerns. Ask the the staff they are accommodating and genuine.Thankyou to the manager.and staff

Very pleasant motel. Clean, well looked after, nicely run by Cathy and David and with a fresh and crisp prawn salad that I trully enjoyed and got again the next day, and the next, and the next!I also tried the lemon pepper calamary. It melts in your mouth.By the way, the sticky date pudding, oh ho ho!!!

So very much enjoyed our stay here. The motel is so clean and well maintained by the very efficient staff. Joanne runs this place extremely we. The rooms and grounds all clean. First place we have stayed that has offered room service as a staying guest. On our trip so far the covid excuse has been used for denying us a daily service. Not here. The restaurant is great too. Had a meal here and it was enjoyed heartily. Thank you all, very comfortable stay.

We were last minute book in after driving 18 hours from Brisbane, staff were happy to wait till we arrived and were more than helpful to assist with checking in, the room was clean and inviting with comfortable beds. Yummy breakfast delivered to the room.

I'm the sort of guy who likes the simple things in life, I don't need anything fancy, a nice comfy bed in a nice cosy little room. I didn't get that here. I got better! Room was cosy, well made up, and the bed ... oooo very VERY comfy!The food? I've sampled a lot of food in my 40+ years of life and the food that was put in front of me was top notch.The service? Cannot complain one bit. Staff were pleasant, bubbly even!But what REALLY made the stay for me was the yard. Driving in, you could tell that whoever looks after the lawn takes pride in their work. This is the sort of lawn I would love to have.

My mother and nephew stayed here, to attend mum's sister's 80th birthday party. Very clean, spacious room and bathroom. Close to the city and easy drive out of town to get back to the Tablelands. The owner was perfectly lovely.Just thought I should add, most of my family tried to book here but was unable to pay over the internet site. We thought it was full, but it wasn't. Internet booking is not the same as ringing in person.

We were charged extra because apon check in the only room left was the family room. Very very basic. The room was clean however I don't think the price matched the room. The shower leaked which resulted in a puddle in the middle of the floor in the next room. The temperature mixture of the shower was off resulting in faint cold water and overwhelming hot water. We could also hear everything from the room above including everytime they used the bathroom. I've stayed in worse however like I said I think the room was very over priced.
