Coral Bay House

Fantastic holiday house, very comfortable for us all.Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday coming back again. A beautiful house to enjoy a beautiful place.

An overpriced place with a cat! Demanding a $500 bond. We were fortune that we end up not staying as the owner decided to give the booking to a family where she was getting more revenue.But after all we were very lucky as the owner fail to clarify that there is a cat in the premises. We are allergic to cats and we disgust them as they eat our native animals.So we will never support a cat fiendly business.

Close to town and beach. The second double bedroom is outside and has a door that can only be locked from inside, Tricky when going out in the day as valuables need to be put indoors and also at night when the main house needs to be locked... It felt weird. The second shower room and toilet is the same. The owner has a cat that lives in a sea container behind and below the property and they came twice a day to attend to it. There was a long list of cleaning requirements on leaving which included mopping floors and cleaning fridges. Gas bottle for oven was empty. It took three weeks and three requests to get our $500 bond back.

Very unresponsive to respond to booking, took close to a week to get a half answer of yes it may be available, then wanted me to pay with bank deposit instead of using my credit card despite wanting my credit card details.. seems dodgy stay clear

Great location. Nice house. There was no smoke alarm in the house at all. It had been disconnected and wires were covered in masking tape. The outside bedroom also didn’t have a smoke alarm. We were booked in for 4 nights and checked out once we realised the house had no smoke alarm. Wife and I took it in shifts to stay awake. Had an incident with family previously where their house caught fire when they were asleep and the smoke alarm saved their lives. Credit to the owner for refunding our remaining nights and bond but it was illegal for the house to be rented with no smoke alarm. The house cat was off putting as we don’t like cats at all and the massive cockroaches roaming the place were disappointing. We killed 7 in one night. Checking in the house reeked of cigarette smoke which was blamed on the previous occupant. 2 stars only for the hassle free refund or it would have been 1 star. Luckily we were able to find safe accomodation and not have our holiday cut short.
