Now known as The Resident Barber Newcastle & housed within the gorgeous Babylon cocktail bar & lounge, this is a modern take on a classic barber shop. Andrea Rufo has been cutting hair for over 30 years in the region & majors in men’s style cuts. He’s one of the fastest barbers to still give a quality cut. Middle to upper price point, but better value than the big salons & new age young barber shops. Have a game of pool or whisky in one of Newcastle’s finest venues whilst you wait for your trim. Booking recommended, but if you’re not local and on short notice, just tell Andrea and he’ll usually do his best to accommodate.

A top place to go for a haircut, the barber was super friendly and did an awesome job. I also appreciated how he was able to just fit me in off the street without making a booking.Will be back for sure for all my future haircuts.

The best barber in town, for years always went to those new age franchise barber stores in the shopping malls and usually walked out disappointed. Went out of my way to visit Andrea the resident barber in Babylon on King St and finally, a barber that actually knows what he is doing and actually very reasonably priced compared to others. The only barber I will use now, well worth the 40min trip into Newcastle.
