Good vibes and dog friendly? Woweee it sure lives up to its’ name. Brought one of the dogs and he had a great time planting himself in front of locals and making them pay a “pet me please” toll. Also I ordered the bangers and mash with onion gravy, a little pricey but it was filling and was a good pub feed!

Great, relaxed atmosphere. Eclectic crowd. Great selection of ales including craft beers on tap. Comfy space. Food is decent, though menu is not especially exciting, given local competion is fierce

Lovely staff, super dog friendly and they have a garden, but unfortunately they are shockingly terrible at catering to vegans - you can get chips with tomato sauce and a tomato salad. That’s it. They don’t have milk alternatives for coffee either, only cows milk. Barely experienced such poor vegan options in Sydney.

So this season Ive done Sunday roasts throughout the inner west. And today I just had the best one yet at the Welcome, thanks a bunch guys! Oh, and the Yorkshire pudding is incredible!

Lovely pub. Great staff. Very good food and beer, but I won't be going back. Meet some friends for dinner but didn't realise I'd be dining with half a dozen huge dogs as well. Not the best combo on a wet cold night with all the doors shut in a small bar area. Then a wet dog came next to where I was sitting and eating and decided to shake itself around. I got a nice little shower and owner just ignored it. I should have read the reviews before I went there which would have reminded me of the Balmainites obsession with their dogs and how could everyone not love them enough to share the dining room with them. No thanks.

Such a warm, authentic local pub. No pretensions but plenty of genuine style and quality. Such a contrast with the trendois chain pub just along the road. They even have an Irish publican who seems to have the staff as locally oriented as he is. The only problem with the Welcome is getting a table. It’s not big in the bar area and sometimes you need to be lucky. So good having a place like this within walking distance. Tables in the bistro can be easier, and a pleasant beer garden. The only thing they don’t have is an open fire on a cold winter Sunday.

Outstanding pub and kitchen. The food is top shelf, with a limited but well selected range of craft beers on tap. If you stopped going because of the below par food back around mid 2019, you need to go back, the kitchen is completely transformed. The Sunday roast is also incredible.Dog friendly, which is a huge plus too. Love this place.

What a perfect name for such a welcoming pub. I walked in a moment after last drinks had been called (for my first visit) after a nearby dinner, to catch the last overs of the cricket. 99% of pubs would have said sorry, we’re done. After all, it was 9:30pm on a Sunday. However, Kylie and Rosie went above and beyond when it came to service. Had me in for a beer with the cricket on tv. Super friendly; it felt like a nice lounge room (only with clean, local beer on tap).Authentic pub, just how everybody likes it. Despite the time of day/week they were kind to give me the history and were enthusiastic in doing so.My only regret is that I haven’t yet joined for Sunday roast but now that I know about this, I’ll be back soonest for that. The Welcome indeed. Long live!Thanks for having me and being so hospitable. A credit to the venue and the wider industry as a whole. See you again! Five stars.
