From enquiring on the phone, I don’t think that she is equiped to work with very young children, who may often need initial help with regulation when away from parents in unfamiliar surroundings. When I mentioned that my 6 year old has social anxiety, particularly when leaving her, the response was that other people are trained to deal with such things but “it’s not my job”. Any professional who works with very young children needs some innate flexibility and skill, so this concerned me.
