Hemley House - Luxury in Halls Gap, Grampians

We loved our stay at Hemley House and Cathy is a great host. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay and it’s in the perfect location, walking distance to everything.The hot tub and gas log fire were highlights, plus we had deer and kangaroos right beside the house everyday.Everything has been really well thought through, with great attention to detail. Can’t wait to stay again!

Not to mention it’s proximity to all the shops, meant once we arrived we walked everywhere.We loved the space that the owners have created. Our group of 5 had a ball staying at Hemley House. We relaxed in the outdoor spa, had an evening around the fire pit and enjoyed the stunning Halls Gap views from the deck & indoor dining area. The local wild life, wallabies, deer, ducks & kookaburras all came to visit during our stay. And the shops were just a short stroll through the back paddocks!The house itself is beautiful and we were kept toasty in the cool mornings by the beautiful indoor gas fireplace. The bathrooms are gorgeous and the bed linen is luxurious. Hemley House is an all round lifestyle destination stay in Halls Gap!

Beautiful home, so well appointed with quality fittings and furnishings. Fabulous location looking out to wetlands and mountains with a 5 minute walk to the centre of town. Cathy is a welcoming and generous host. We loved our stay in Halls Gap and look forward to returning to Hemley House soon. The spa on the deck and the fire pit surrounded by seats were great extras, as were the complimentary wine and coffee. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Cosy, clean place. Everything provided. Can do cooking, they have washing machine n dryer. Most of all, a very good complimentary bottle of Seppelt wine. The scenery at the front porch was beautiful, a lot of kangaroos in the morning, emus, occasional deer. Spa as well.

A wonderful property. We recently stayed for 10 nights. It's a home away home. Truly comfortable, very clean with all the conforts required.

We really loved our stay here. Were just left disappointed in the end when they took out another $45 for washing an extra bed. It wasn’t cheap for us to stay here and also having to pay an extra $100 cleaning fee as a standard . We didn’t use the bed- kids may have messed it up. If they only wanted us to use 2 bedrooms they should put a lock on the door- also the gas heater wasn’t working so thought it was a bit cheeky to ask for more money. They explained the cleaning fee was also for maintenance of the fire pit and spa- I would think that would be calculated in the standard rate. It was lovely, that’s my only complaint.

This was a beautiful stay. It allowed a comfortable space for gathering as well as privacy. The house was very well kitted-out; our only suggestion is the addition of a simple teapot with strainer. We were on a cycling and walking trip - there were great tracks around - and we enjoyed having the laundry and the spa after big treks and long rides. We also had regular visits from wildlife - birds, kangaroo, deer... Our host was helpful and she was kind amidst COVID regulations. We would recommend this stay and would consider it again.

We were gifted a long weekend stay at this beautiful Home. Cathy was a fantastic host. Everything was presented beautifully and very tasteful. A complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival. The kitchen has everything you need if you wish to cater for yourself.The views are exceptional. The deck spa is a wonderful addition. Even in winter it was beautiful and peaceful sitting out in the warm spa. Beds are extra comfy. Home is pristine & in a great location in the heart of Halls Gap. Hemley House is very warm and inviting. We highly recommend Hemley House for a weekend, a few days or a week. You won’t be disappointed!
