Being a south indian, very much disappointed with the food served here. Idli is hard, vada is undercooked, chatney is too watery. Sambar has low spices, dosa doesn't taste like dosa at all...Utter slow service(probly the slowest service i've ever experienced)Only tamarind rice is fine.(waited 90+ minutes for tamarind rice and it was cold)I'm writing this after 2 visits.From my perspective this restaurant needs to shut down or badly need a change in management + especially the cook.

+ve: the customers were the best feature of the place, since they tolerated the followings.-ve : Very poorly run canteen. Almost 1.5 hours to get food. Seemed heavily understaffed.-ve: Zero cleanliness as customers need to clean the table.-ve: Not enough tables and chairs, many people were eating outside the canteen area and many of them had to eat while standing.-ve: cost is similar to Sydney. Even water isn’t free, despite being a part of the temple.Giving one star that’s the least I could give, else 0 star!

Temple is amazing,I had been going once every month for one other event or festival or auspicious day.Canteen food prices have risen to beyond the worth and the quality and quantity has significantly dropped. Not worth the drive if you’re driving there for canteen.The Dosa or Masala Dosa used to be very best of Sydney before Covid. Post covid, the Masala in Dosa has become spoonful and Dosa is served thick, undercooked or too much roasted like thick crisp papad. I think it’s a lucky dip to get good Dosa.Also, whenever I buy the Sambar rice, the dish appears and tastes as if, the portion is from bottom of the pot all residue. Not sure, if it is the dish or always it’s my chance.

Food quality is good and prices are very reasonable.People whinging about the waiting time and tables not clean should understand that you are not sitting in an expensive restaurant but in a canteen run by volunteers.If you see them getting behind then roll up your sleeves and join them to fix the problem instead of leaving negative reviews.At the end of the day either you can whinge on google or volunteer at a religious place.

Hopeless management in the canteen. So many counters to collect food and online preorder is the biggest joke in a worship place. Many seniors who don't have a mobile is a nightmare. Quality of food is downgraded. Immediate change of management is needed

Food quality has gone down. Prices are similar to other places. Worst part was waiting in the queue for an hour in hot weather.

We got our order after standing in queue a for nearly 2 hours. They had online pre-order system, but only God knows why they had. Managing people on auspicious days is difficult and understandable. But the food we got was really pathetic, very bad in taste. Such a bad experience on my first visit itself.

Canteen isn't all it's hyped up to be. Food is subpar, tables are dirty all the time, some of the chairs are broken and service is bad. Worst of all, they charge an unreal amount of money for what they offer. Pathetic.

Been here a few times, however over the years, quality of canteen has significantly gone down hill.Went there recently, online order system not working, understandable. Extremely long queue to place order, then a separate queue to get one kind of food, then another separate queue for next food order, in total I spent 1 hour 50 mins just to get 4 dishes.Paid $1 each additional for take away for each dish I ordered, only to find out after 1 hour 50 mins that I need to pay separate for a take away bag? You got to be kidding me! For 4 items, I already paid $4 for so called take away, which was not a take away box, but rather food was put in an paper envelope! The whole experience was awful, the service was slower than watching grass grow.It was not clean at all, washrooms were next level disgusting, unhygienic and dirty.Will never return again now!
