Well signposted. The alpacas were adorable, the host was very knowledgeable. There was no time or feed limit when visiting with the alpacas. Make sure you book in advance because this can be a problem.

We went for my daughters second birthday and it was amazing!! The cabin is well built and cosy with the fire, the huge spa was a big hit with bubbles. The alpacas & chickens are right outside so it was great to visit them any time. They are fed twice a day which was fun! Anne moved the feeding forward when we first arrived as my daughter was so excited. We took toys from the visitor room to play in our own room, including a great selection of books to read each night. During the day we visited Bilpin Cider which is just down the road for lunch & enjoyed dinner at the nearby Archibald Hotel which is set on a hill so a great view! A really enjoyable weekend away & my daughter still talks about the ‘pac pacs’

We enjoyed feeding the alpacas and the rustic setting of the cabins with the log fire. What we didn’t enjoy was the manager who jumped down our throat when we asked questions about the alpacas and made us feel incredibly uncomfortable by standing outside our cabin with her cleaning equipment 3 minutes after check out time!! …and staring us down until we finished packing the car, thanked her and drove off. You could not get better guests. We were quiet, respectful, thankful and left the property immaculate, She ruined the whole experience and hence we will not return

Been planning to visit the place over a year, last weekend, we finally visited. We took our dog there, but on the arrival, the reception was not friendly at all all. Left us a very awkward impression at the check-in.The cabin itself is very nice and clean. But the reception emphasised the fact we cannot leave our dog unattended at all time. So we cannot go even visit the Alpacas ( even just to leave in the cabin for 40 mins go visit the animals, it's impossible)So it's not real dog friendly place like the website. The property itself is well maintained but nothing you can use such as no usable facilities around the property. So we spend $330 over night, just stay in the cabin, nothing else we can do on the property. To visit Alpacas you need to pay extra too. It's not really worth the value for something we thought was a nice animal experience/ countryside retreat.

The staff are lovely and extremely helpful, even so far as helping us walk our dogs to our cabin so we could unpack our car even quicker during a storm.and the cabins are excellent. Very well equipped, beautiful interior and exterior.I couldn't recommend this place any higher for anyone holidaying with dogs.Thank you so much for our wonderful three night stay.

We attended the alpaca feeding session and we loved it! We stayed for around an hour and had a great experience feeding the animals - it was very 'hands on' experience. Anne was informative and patient. Definitely will pop in again. Thanks for a great afternoon!

One of our best family holiday. This place is really good for families. Max 5 adults in a cabin. We had the spa cabin which is wide and spacious. We had a cold Christmas because the weather was rainy but we it was actually perfect for a good relaxation.Ms Anne was very nice to us. It was so good waking up to alpacas view. They were all lovely. The whole area is well maintained and clean. Recommended abd will be back in the future.

Extremely fun with adorable alpacas, dog friendly with space to walk and some animals around where kids can look around the property for chicken eggs. It’s clean and the pool and court were sparkling. The worker was very kind and knows so much. An amazing stay.

We had such a great weekend at Madison's Mountain Retreat. The cabins were very roomy, comfortable and clean with nice towels and firewood provided. The gazebo, large pool and tennis court were perfect for our group to hang out during the day and in the evening. Anne was a very accommodating host. We also loved the beautiful scenery, the alpacas, peacock and chickens :)

We stayed at Madison's a few days ago and we absolutely loved it!The cabin was fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay - and the cabin itself was charming. The beds were super comfy (best sleep we had all holiday). The kindling and firewood provided was a nice touch. A very calm, peaceful setting with polite and courteous staff. Would highly recommend! The ability to wander the farm and visit the alpacas was our favourite part, and sets this place apart from others. Thanks again!
