Worth visiting if you are in the area. Lack of mainance is starting to show. Could be great but is slightly disappionting...

Coolart Wetlands Bird Hide
I have to admit that I really have no experience to draw on in giving this rating. I have never been in a bird hide before so how could eye. However, ignorance doesn't mean you can't have an opinion and it seemed pretty good to me. It's big, clean and more comfortable than I expected. Plenty of information provided about the birds you are likely to see is provided. They would like some rain however, as the bird population is down on what it should be.

Great bird hide when water levels are up. Major breeding site for Sacred Ibis, which do so on platforms right in front of Hide. Many other waterbirds to see here as well as local and migrating bush species. Have a chat with one of the friendly rangers for the latest news. Or read the regularly updated whiteboards in the hide or at the visitors centre. BYO binoculars or borrow a pair from visitors centre from the rangers.
