Junction Campground

Very basic campsites but there was a toilet and bins provided. At the time of visiting river was stagnant in places.

Absolutely beautiful quiet place to free camp. Fun goldpanning and kids enjoyed the river. Nothing like the bush to relax.

Nice quiet and spacious. River flowing well after recent rain so a bit murky as of July 10, 2020. Lots of nice white quartz however if pitching a tent the rock dominated grounds prove somewhat challenging!

Nice natural area but the grass and weeds around the toilet area are tall and unmowed. Toilets dilapidated and primitive. Uncaring council apparently. No animals in sight except for platypus in the river. Shotgun blasts at night from nearby property. But it's free.

Beautiful location, water level is low/not flowing unfortunately. Not suitable for swimming at the moment. Would be nice after area gets some rain. Does get busy on long weekends. Also had firearms being discharged from 9 pm on wards. Pit toilets are terrible.

Junction Campground on the Abercrombie River just north of Tuena on the Goulburn Road is a free camp park with a lot of spots to set up, there’s a toilet but no showers or water, so in the warm weather you can wash in the river, there’s plenty of bins but it’s better to take your rubbish when you leave. It’s quite easy to get a spot along the river and if not many people are around you can even get your clothes off and skinny dip or walk around and soak up the sun, plenty of river and bush walks. No phone or tv signal but for a short time you can get by without. Just the sounds of nature. You can have a campfire as long as there are no fire restrictions.

Good spot, nice river and lots of space

Stopped in for a couple of hours rest - the dogos loved a cool off in the water. Please take note of the current total fire ban - local guys had to come down and remind some campers about the ban.

AWOSSOM beautiful spot... You'll absolutely love it.. great for dogs. Ohhhh kids will probably love it lol ... I know they will

Toilets were disgusting. Very wet area, hardly any sunny sites. River was nice to kayak on, but you couldnt go far because of the rapids.
