Paragon Homes

Would not recommend building with Paragon Homes. It has been nothing but a stressful time and unfortunately that now reflects in the ‘feel’ of our home. Have been living in our home for more than 12 months and are still waiting for defects to be rectified. Also we never received a handover when we moved in. They are very unresponsive and do not reply to emails (even though they have time to post on social media). Never received any building updates during the process - if we wanted to know what was going on then we had to visit the block and work it out for ourselves. We had a 4 month building delay due to “lack of trades being available”, and are certainly not impressed with the quality of work. Unfortunately if you don’t build a million dollar home with Paragon then you don’t seem to be a valued client. Take your business to a builder that cares.

After purposefully causing such disruption and harassment one would certainly have expected a HUGE Apology from Steve of Paragon Homes and an attempt to rectify matters - no sadly not nothing from this team.Monday 29/10 - again nicely requested the builders turn down their radio, so that for a change I might enjoy some peace and quiet in my own yard. Ignored again by the very professional team of builders at Paragon homes - Absolutely appalling!Friday 25/10 - the apprentice attended the site alone and played his music so loud that one could not even think in their own yard. I have eight recordings throughout the day of this complete disregard, disrespect, harassment and abuse by your team, of neighboring properties. One of his choices was a chorus of profanity(again recorded), played for all neighbors, adults and children alike again at excessive levels. When approached three times(recorded), the apprentice simply ignored us and continued in this fashion throughout the day. It will be interesting for your inspection of the site on Monday as in the course of the day Friday, there was perhaps an hour of work with tools heard. Your team spent the day, sitting next to the speaker, sorting through his playlist whilst on his phone, causing as much purposeful disruption and harassment to neighbors as possible.Arguably the worst builders to have working next to you. They have damaged adjoining property, converse by yelling at one another and play their radio so loud it can be heard inside the homes of neighboring properties. Despite repeated requests for consideration of neighbors, they have no apparent interest in the rights of ones own peace and enjoyment of their own property. We are unable completely now to enjoy anytime in our own backyard.Thank you for your response and I would welcome a discussion with yourself. It is unfortunate that you have not made any attempts previously to contact me despite be aware of the issues at the site. It is an utter fabrication that you have made any attempts to contact me with respect to any matters associated with the dwelling.Neither the owner nor yourself have made any contact with me in respect to removing trees, this would be a neighborly consideration, nor the fence issue, nor the damage to my fence, nor the increased height of your structure now towering over my fence. Again it is absolutely untrue that any attempts have been made by yourself or the owner Councilor James O'Shea to contact me in respect to any matters.The home is not at all in keeping with the neighborhood, it is a modern kit type home with no architectural merit and now towers over my property since it has been raised some 2.5 m above ground level. A dwelling vehemently opposed by ALL neighboring home owners.There has been nothing left in my letterbox by either yourself nor the owner councilor James O'Shea. There has been no effort made to communicate now, prior or during construction.I have had no phone contact with yourself nor the owner, Councilor James O'Shea.As to your assertions of the fence issues and advise that ALL neighbors agreed to your alleged offers, there was ONE neighboring property whose fence was heightened.Yesterday after requesting they turn down their radio for the third time that day, the apprentice said, hey old lady, I'm busy, I'll get to it.I will not be contacting you as evidenced by the actions of your staff today, nothing is going to change. I have been outside all morning working, sanding and wearing earplugs and yet can hear both their discussions(yelling) and radio well above my own noise.Thank you

We were going to build with Steve when we had a contract on our house however it fell through so did not end up building. However we spoke to Steve prior to the contract falling through and he was amazing. He came and looked at the block and advised us on designs, costs and could not have been more helpful. We have built 2 homes in Toowoomba in the past 5 years with other builders, but If we ever build again Steve is the only builder I would consider _ Steve was so much easier to deal with than either of them. He is so easy to deal with and builds such nice quality homes. Cannot believe that anyone would put a bad review on his website because the tradies played loud music _ try working as a tradie all day without music _ these type of people need to get a life and wake up to themselves...

I have been trying to contact Paragon Homes for 10 months now in regards to replacing something that I was told will be replaced. I have been ignored for 10 months now and am at a point of frustration. They are not responsive.

Our experience with Steve has been very professional, willingness to get things right and to be honest. Thanks Steve for all your help and for going above and beyond, we're so happy!
