My friends and I have dinner at Mandarin Place few days before. Recommend from one of my friends. We ordered black pepper beef, mapo tofu and sweet&sour pork. Black pepper beef was extremely excellent. Both of us were happy and enjoy those delicious food. The owners are friendly and staff is very nice and helpful. Will return again.

Love the design and art work and music. The staff member who was serving us seemed rather rude and impatient. They didn't have all there menus out on our table for us to look at what we wanted yet I was get pestered within the first 5 minutes on what I wanted. There honey chicken was a big let down not enough flavour and the pieces were to big and pretty dissapointed you have to order fried rice separately they should come together as a meal not have to be ordered separately.

Had chineese sausage and spring rolls for entree. Chineese sausage was chewy but spring rolls were good. Deluxe fried rice for main was alright but needed salt and pepper to help taste. Good amount of meat in it but have had better. Waitress very friendly and helpful.

Always excellent food here - very reasonably priced. Attentive, pleasant staff! Love coming here. Only downside are the stairs. Very clean facilities.

Sorry but that is the most overpriced meal I've ever had at $68 for three basic takeaway dishes. And one of the worst meals I've had in years, the fried rice was very plain, sticky/gluggy, packet frozen vegetable pieces. The pork borderline tasted off.Would not recommend at all. I would literally prefer packet rice dishes in the microwave, not good enough for the price.

Love this authentic oriental vibes in the restaurant with good food. Reception is so cute and the staff is amazingly friendly. Fully licensed restaurant with alcoholic beverages on menu. Spacious dining room with classic Chinese music on. Better than other Chinese restaurants in the city. Located in 1st floor and has got only a case of stairs, no lift unfortunately.

Was informed on the phone it would be a 20 minute wait and waited for 40. I also waited there for easily another 10 minutes than another gentleman who was offered a drink, I was offered nothing. Then watched as other people got their orders along with apologies about the wait, when my food was ready it was handed over, nothing from the waitress that handed it over and a dismal thanks for your patience" called out from another worker. That wasn't even the worst of it $38 for two soups and a ginger chicken. The soup took me back to my childhood resembling clag glue and was beyond tasteless

Three of us went there, nice atmosphere, and quiet since it was early. Complimentary prawn crackers bought with cold bottled water. We order 3 mains and 1 rice. Mongolian beef was lovely, as was the chicken and Chinese mushroom, we had lemon chicken which is the same the world over, only surprise was it was 2 massive fillets of chicken as opposed to the normal little bits. Bonus. The rice was good, I would have liked some soy with it, but thats minor and I never asked for it. Wait staff were good and friendly. Id go again, I'd say its the best Asian food I have had in Tasmania so far ( 2 years)

If I could give this place 10 stars I wouldn't hesitate for a second. I have a Hospitality background and know how many hours a day these guys pour into this restaurant. The food is second to none within 500kms. If you live local. You should support these guys.. I love the food, I love the atmosphere and I love the dedication..
