What a lifesaver Penny was! My daughter was struggling with wanting to go to her Formal as she is not comfortable wearing dresses, we had an idea of what she wanted to wear but NO IDEA on how to make it happen, LUCKILY I found Penny on Facebook @ Gold Coast Girls in Business. With 6 weeks out from Formal, and only pictures of our idea in hand, Penny went over and beyond for us. Meeting us straight away, guiding me to what I needed to get and off she went with all the confidence I needed to see. Penny had the full outfit ready for final fitting 4 weeks later! AMAZING! With only the buttons and cufflinks to accessorise. We picked up her Unique, perfectly fitted Suit the week prior to the Formal! The finishes on all of Penny's work is flawless, the suit fitted perfectly to my daughter's body.My daughter was so very happy and comfortable on her Formal Day and thanks to Penny's patience, understanding and outstanding work my daughter had a brilliant time at her Formal! Penny many years ago put 'flyers' out advertising her clothing alteration business. I have proved over the years her work is beautifully done. She loves to tell you the detailed work she has put into your garment. Penny has obvious pride in her work.

I came to Penny for alterations on my wedding dress after a horrible experience with another alterations business and she put me at ease straight away. I had been told by the original alterations business that my dress would never fit the way I wanted it to, because of my body shape. Penny didn't hesitate and made my dress fit comfortably and look amazing by accentuating my body shape rather than criticising it. Thank you so much Penny! You will be on the top of my list for any alterations in future.

I had a few items to be repaired and they required near invisible mending as they were in clear sight when worn. Penny is not only accommodating and affordable but she does excellent work. She really knows her stuff! I’ve been twice now with over 10 items to be fixed or altered and she has never disappointed. She gives realistic advise and sets realistic expectations for the outcome. We travelled far and the turn around was great. I’ll definitely be back!

Did an absolutely amazing job with my partners formal dress. It was multiple sizes too big for her and wasn’t even close to fitting (it was a gift from her Aunty) but Penny made it fit perfectly, although when we dropped the dress off my partner and I were a bit surprised by the quoted price but had it done anyway, and when my partner picked it up she said it was worth the price.When we dropped the dress off Penny was a little rude which made us sceptical but otherwise everything was great. Highly recommend Penny for dress alterations. :)

Zero customer skills. Demands a deposit before any work is done. I witnessed her screaming at a customer when a simple question was asked. Absolutely the most horrible experience in retail I have ever had to experience.

Went for a free quote for alterations on my wedding dress. Drove an hour to get there. When we got in she had appointments overlapping and felt very rushed to get into my dress and very rushed to get out of my dress. In the end just couldn’t wait to get out of there. Feel she didn’t listen to our advice on what we wanted done to the dress to. Wouldn’t recommend.

Penny did a big alteration job on my wedding dress - added custom removable sleeves, a thight split, bustle, got the dress down 2 sizes & made a garter from scratch from leftover materials. It turned out perfectly on first fitting, and was reasonably priced for such a big job. Penny also saved the day when one of our groomsmen picked up his tailored suit only to find the jacket wasn't made correctly. Penny was honest with us and went above an beyond to alter the new suit we had to buy a week before the wedding - what an absolute lifesaver! I would definitely use her again for any alterations in the future, highly recommend!
