I just had the Sunday Roast and left the place still hungry. Very small portion and the roast potatoes were underdone.

Superb! Great vibe, good food, friendly staff.Located in high street closed to prahran station and tram number 6 very easy access.Iconic building outside and warm and cosy inside with the wood fire, love it!The salt & pepper calamari was fresh and tasty.The chicken parma was great, they use fresh chicken breast, it’s big plus and it wasn’t dry.The fish & chips was ok, the good part was the gribiche sauce different then the regular tartare sauce, even the salad was seasoned very well. Congrats to the chefs.I tried fruity tap beer, it was very good with the food.We will definitely visit you again and hopefully we can access the other part of the pub.

I am local to the area and had a small engagement lunch here. The event was really well organised. Appreciate the ease of liaising with the events team and venue to organise the day. On the day, everything went to plan, service was fantastic, plenty of food, food was delicious and catered for dietary requirements. Loved the efforts that went in to the layout of the private function room we booked. The price was extremely reasonable. Everyone left happy and keen to go back again for dinner, drinks or lunch. Thank you for creating a successful event for us :)

I was on a mission with a girlfriend to enjoy a steak night and we were heading towards Yarraville but the exit to get off before the Westgate was blocked for construction and we ended up driving over it and decided to look for somewhere else offering a deal and so glad we stumbled on this recommendation through google. The opportunity to sit in the battle table was what sold it!To get a better chance at sitting in the barrel, make sure to book ahead or risk being seated on a normal table.The beef tartar has a light tangy taste and we really enjoyed our meal.The steak wasn’t tough and cooked as we liked it. The accompanying salad was basic.They also have $10 Aperol Spritz all day every day.Music isn’t too loud. The food on the menu looked good and we were spoiled on choices. We’re keen to come back and try other items on the menu.

Fabulous! The staff were absolutely impeccable, escorting us both to our seats and treating us like royalty this really really stood out and combine this with fantastic fresh food and good wine is why I would go back. Keep up the staff training as the way they spoke to us and treated us from the second I entered was fabulous.

Daily special: Pork and fennel terrine 5/5 SO tasty! The bread was perfect along with all accompaniments (was so ate we ate before remembering to take a picture for the review)Pork cottoletta: 4.5Grilled swordfish 4/5 just cause fish was a bit dry but the rest was perfectDrinks were nice too! Service 5/5Setting 5/5Nice selection on the menu as well!

We had a birthday celebration here. The foods are delicious with big portions - great value for money. The staff are friendly and tend to our needs very well. Although it’s a bar, much to our delight, it’s quiet when we dined in. The internal environment is spacious with plants everywhere. The seat design is unique and inviting. Excellent experience from all fronts.
