These courts are almost constantly occupied by a private tennis coaching clinic within normal hours. Despite the fact that they are council rate funded, children cannot use the basketball courts and are asked to leave by the clinic operator. In fact, the basketball ring has now been removed. It’s hard to imagine how a park of this size, with many tennis courts, has only one basketball ring which is essentially unusable. I presume this private operator is being charged a fee to hire the courts - in which case, facilities should be provided for the families that live in the area that actually fund the maintenance of this park.

Good tennis courts which are open to the public.

Double public tennis court in picturesque treed setting. Fences each end. No fences besides courts so with a slight slope one can be chasing balls. Close to carpark, West Terrace and Parade for parking. Often used for lessons reducing public availability.
