The 100 Steps of Federation
The 100 Steps of Federation is located inside Truganina Park.This is a large open space that is well landscaped and maintained. The steps are an easy walk from the car park. There is a wide view from the top where you can see the Cheetham Wetlands and the city.Great place for a family walk, fresh air and time out from the hustle and bustle of suburbia! I wore some fairly robust sandals for walking, you can get away with casual shoes I reckon. There are many flies and mosquitoes, so if you can, stay away from the trees, or use insect repellent.

We love it here. Large open space so close to suburbia. Great for a stroll or to exercise. Great views of the bay and over to the city. Lots of birds and wild life. You may be lucky and see a blue tongue lizard sunning itself. Loved the bike repair station great initiative. Bring a picnic or have a bbq at the bbq shelter.

The 100 Steps of Federation
This is a place people would travel miles to see the view. You can see right across Port Phillip Bay, to the Dandonongs. Mount Macdon and a spectacular view of Melbourne city. I am lucky enough to have this on my doorstep. Highly recommended, no tickets required and very accessible.

Beautiful bay views. Nice easy walk, while there are the stairs up one side, the path is pretty smooth round the other side of the loop, so accessible for prams etc. Definitely worth the visit, we wandered around for nearly an hour taking in the view. Several picnickers and bike riders. Great spot to get some fresh air.

If everytime I go there and it's beautiful sunset or sunrise... Then I will give 20 stars but it is beautiful, cold, windy and breath taking or I might have been out of breath... LOL
