Lake Conjola
The drive into here almost requires a 4WD as it's a dirt road with lots of pot holes. Not a good place for sports cars.Besides that it's a beautiful location to relax. I believe it's pretty much someone's backyard who decided to share with the public. Very quiet location.There is a crude public toilet there. Only use it if you are desperate.

Killarny is the best private boat ramp beach. Put a couple of bucks in the gate to enjoy flame trees on sandy beach.Not suitable for low cars, especially after the latest floods........

This placid saltwater lake has many swimming spots, but on local knowledge we chose this one: Drive all the way through the caravan park until you reach the amenities block and shower and parking at the end of the road. The water is cool and clear with a bit of a pull toward the sea but plenty of sandbanks to stop you getting carried away, and friendly pelicans to help you with any fish you might catch.We were just passing through or we would have stayed longer, as this is a perfect spot to inflate the air mattresses and go for a float. Next time... and there will be a next time.

Spectacular views of Lake Conjola. Just pay 2 dollars donation at entrance of a private property and enjoy your time at Lake Conjola at a relatively much less crowded and peaceful spot.
