Lake Hart
It was a one of its kind experience. There was water in the lake when I went there which made it more fun to walk. I went inside the lake and it was a great experience. Don’t try to slide as you might cut yourself from the salt bed. I wish I could stay for a sun set but still it was an out of the world experience. I had never seen anything like it before.

Personally, I found this place terrific. For a ' free' stop 2 mins off the highway, it's a must. A dry inland lake, dazzling white with the residual salt. You either cross the train tracks or go under in the tunnel. Note there are no toilets. We spent the night here and it was safe. Look for the old tracks.

Stopped here while traveling to Adelaide. The salt lake bed is quite amazing to look at, brilliant white for the most part with pinkish-red bits, and very hard underfoot. You can access it from several places, including a conveniently located rest stop.

Great place to see a salt lake.Just off the sturt high way no charge to walk on. Walking distance you can walk over the railway or walk underthrough a tunnel.See the photos a must stop in.Amazing site to see, only tables and chairs no toilet. But still Beautiful

Great free camping with a view over the lake at sunset. Listen to the trains and road trains.

Such history, should have been preserved a lot better, unfortunately. But still well worth it
