Byaduk General Store

Wow this place is full to the brim of antiques, home wares, clothing, accessories etc so take your time to look in every nook and cranny! There are quite a few items on special around the 4 rooms of the shop. I think it's a good idea that the new and old have been mixed together amongst the shelves, it makes the entire experience more interesting. I actually came into this store on my way to the other antique shop in Byaduk and luckily I did as I enjoyed my time here. Please don't rush around, take your time and be pleasantly surprised! I found some great replica bookends - the skipping girl and NYLEX sign that are located in Melbourne which brought back memories of my time in Melbourne. They're quirky and fun and wasn't what I came into the shop to buy but you never know what you might find in a place like this. They are solid cast iron and been painted and crafted really well...I'm chuffed with my purchase. Thank you!!

We drove from Port Fairy and was worth the drive (as well as stopping in at Hamilton). The shop is filled with heaps of cool homewares and interesting items. We bought a set of tin chickens for the garden and some antique trays. Tonnes of kids toys as well. The building has a great history and Robyn is so friendly it's worthwhile dropping in even just to have a chat. We will definitely be back when in the Port Fairy and Hamilton area.
