5 Paws Grooming

Gave a one star as zero stars was not an option. If this woman wishes to stay in business she needs to find some manners to begin with. Rude and obnoxious.Unknown to her I arrived early to pick up my dog and got to watch her at work. Wow. With my young dog cowering in the corner she roughly pulled at the dogs ears repeatedly and unnecessarily. This I saw in a mere 4 minutes. One can only imagine what mistreatment my dog endured during the previous 2 and a 1/2 hours. She has several red marks on her stomach that were not there before hand. She also has a swollen, discoloured lip, from what I have no idea.Needless to say this woman will not be trusted with my dear pet again and I advise all others to look elsewhere.In reply to your response below.....Pleasing me is not the point of my review. The point was to make you and others that may choose to use your service aware of the importance of being able to leave our pets with you with the belief they will be treated kindly and with respect. Our pet was cowering from you and you continued to roughly manhandle her. It took 3 days for her to regain her puppy playfulness.Perhaps you need to take a moment and reflect on why you chose this profession in the first place. I am sure it was a love of animals.

I've been taking my dog Millie to Linda for quite a number of years. She always does an outstanding job and my children are always eager to see what Millie looks like when she's done. Linda is always friendly and takes great pride in her work. I find it quite difficult to digest the negative reviews that some have left as I can only sing her praises! :)

Excellent groomer. I And my dogs have been happily visiting here every six weeks for over 12 years now. I have no issue referring others here, the result is a well groomed pet and my dogs always feel good afterwards, all I need to know that they are being looked after while here. Please don’t bad review a small business, if it’s not your cup of tea, just try another. Keep up the excellent work.

I have nothing but the highest praise for Linda at 5 Paws Grooming Modbury. She has a true affinity with the animals she grooms; they love her and look forward to visiting her at the Salon. She is skilled in both grooming show dogs and the loved family canine; she also grooms your precious feline companion. Linda groomed my Basset Fauve de Bretagne for the show ring and he always looked his scruffy best - it is no mean feat grooming a dog to look rough and untidy - something Linda did with professional ease. Do not hesitate to contact Linda; she will groom your fury best friend so they are cool and comfortable in Summer and are neat and tidy for the winter. Heather Ann

She did an absolutely fantadtic job on my 2 maltese x shih tzu's. And considering the amazing job she does and whats included in the service she is very reasonably priced! I would really really highly recommend her!!! Both my babies came back looking absolutely amazing!!!And for the 1st time ever my baby girl Chanel came out happy and wagging her tail unlike when i have picked her up from other groomers. (She usually comes back frightened and very timid like) so as anyone could imagine i was so very happy to see this. I was also very worried as past groomers have made complaints about my baby boys Oscar's behaviour, so i warned her and passed on everything i got told from the them, but when i picked him up she said he no where near as bad as what i made him sound and that he was actually quiet good! So all i can say is a BIG thank u to her for taking such great care of my babies and for making the look as cute and beautiful as ever!!! A+++++++++++++

Rude and unhelpful over the phone...seemed angry I asked questions as it was my first time taking a pet to a groomer. Booked elsewhere as they seemed to not want my business. *update* yes, I do typically make judgments when the owner of a business is rude... Fitting that your rudeness reflects your distain for cats and their owners. Very happy to not have that hostility around my feline.

Typically not someone who leaves negative reviews as I understand a lot of people/companies have off days but after seeing so many negative reviews from 4+ years ago, I figured things may have changed.Honestly the lady was extremely blunt and when I politely questioned the price discrepancy between my two small dogs (one being wirehair vs shorthair) she was unable to give me a good reason other than “it takes longer”. I understand this, but had she have explained this nicely and not responded in a rude manner to my open enquiry, I may have been happy to travel the 1.5 hours to see her. This company may have professional and great services, but I’m sorry, customer service is key. Rude form the start, and after receiving so many complaints about the tone and manner of her service, I’d hoped things would be different.Steer clear all, there are much lovelier groomers out there ☺️ I mean no nastiness by this review.
