The views here are amazing and the cocktails are quite nice too. The high tea unfortunately is quite lack lustre. I had the vegan high tea and my partner the regular high tea. The foods were all quite hard for lack of a better word, almost like they were a bit stale and the flavours, other than that of the lamington, missed the mark. Wait staff were also a little confused and clearly didn’t know what they were serving. Also, it was a bit strange to see staff brushing their teeth at the reception desk.

Do you want to impress your in-law?Bring them here for high tea.The views are truly unrivalled, and because it's Christmas, the high tea screams the season.They also have vegan-friendly options, so all family members will be catered to.The high tea package per person plus is; $99.00 for coffee or tea, $109.00 for a glass of bubbles, and $120.00 for on-flowing bubbles, from memory.Given that this is the Shangri-La and the high tea treats are plentiful (keep in mind, we didn't have breakfast), it's pretty darn good.So raise a glass and a pinky to a delicious high tea.PS: If you prefer a nighttime event for my single pringles or couples wanting something nice, come to this place when vivid is on.It’s truly magical ✨

Great bar and excellent, attentive staff. I think the main reason you would come here are for the views. The food was nice - we had the “trust the chef” menu, but I’ve had as good and better elsewhere for less. $90 each for 5 ‘tapas plate’ servings left me wanting a little more by the end of the night.

This has been my worst high tea experience ever. The waiter accidentally spilled an entire cocktail right into my lap. Furthermore, in the aftermath of this incident, management did nothing to salvage the situation! We were given a weak apology and only the one drink was removed from our bill. I thought this was egregious!Beyond this freak accident which could happen anywhere, the food itself was not even any good. Scones were the only decent food, although for I’ve had better for a lower price. The savory foods were really lackluster, definitely not at the standard of a nice high tea. Every piece of bread was stale and hard to even bite through. Definitely not fresh. Sweet foods were altogether mediocre, with about as much creativity and delicacy as you’d get at a grocery store. Tea was acceptable, but make sure to ask for milk when you order, or be ready to wait.It’s astounding that even though the quality is so low, and the price high, Blu Bar still asks for table minimums. Especially for window seats, the minimum is selected so that you have to overspend the normal high tea price. There’s nothing to make up the difference except adding cocktails, which start at $28, even when the meal already comes with tea and sparkling wine! So whatever price you see online, know you’ll end up spending far more. Yes, the view is nice, but that’s about all you’re going to get from Blu Bar.

Went here for the high tea for my birthday, and it was amazing! The savoury and sweet food were just perfect and the tea was to die for! Definitely an experience that everyone should do atleast once in their lives!The staff were lovely and played along with my grandmother when she asked them to ID me, and then brought out this lovely happy birthday dish at no extra cost!

Thankyou to the staff at Blu Bar for the most delightful high tea experience. We were a group of 8 celebrating a bridal shower. The menu is delicious, well balanced and gorgeously presented! The room is modern, and allows the magnificient view to shine. A remarkable afternoon, would highly recommend to anyone who has a special occasion to celebrate!!

We phoned to book here to use the high tea $190 voucher we were gifted last year. Arrived just after 12pm, it was already nearly full. We were given a table by a wall in near the entrance with views to Barangaroo. Not able to get any table looking out to the Opera house or harbour bridge as they were already booked and they would want you to spend at least $145 per person to secure that kind of view. Overall the service was friendly. The food was good enough for a high tea. Other than the views nothing really much to shout about as the place felt a bit old school and dated, $190 for two would be too much to pay. Felt like we nearly couldn't use the gift voucher for Saturday, a condition of which they didn't say when I called in to book.

We went to have a bird's eye view of Sydney Bridge and Opera house area. The views from the top floor restaurant are truly worth the spend on the food and beer. A must visit for any traveller to Sydney.

Hands down one of the best views in Sydney. Great cocktail and wine list and very attentive staff. Our guy was new so extremely attentive, but he was nice.
