Very displeased with the service. While I continually declined signing up, they were very persistent and would not allow me to walk away, despite telling them that I was an employee of the centre and needed to get back to work. After multiple refusals to sign up, they said that if I signed up today that no money would come out of my account and that they would contact me to confirm if I wanted to start payments, as I had told them that I was not in the financial position where I could sign up. As it was clear that they would not let me go without filling out the paperwork, I filled out the details and left for the day. A few months later, while checking my accounts, I noticed that money had in fact been deducted from my account for the previous 3 months, without a single employee calling me to ask if the payments were authorised. When I called Childfund to query why payments had been removed, they advised me that the paperwork I had filled out was in fact to authorise payments, despite the fact that I had been told the opposite. They said they would only be able to refund the recent month and had I not wanted payments to be taken out I should not have signed up.Would not sign up or listen to a word this predatory charity has to say. Very unhappy

being lied about $39 a month and when I check in the website just 35 a month is maximum, also they don’t let me to cancel the monthly fund. At first when I called they said my information is not go through yet, need 2 days to be on the system although they send me an email immediately after I agree to sign all the paper work, on a ipad!. After 2 days they said it need 10 days? Then I see a lot of people that being lied by them too. This is not a charity if it lie to people to get their money.

I started my involvement with this wonderful organisation recently. It has given me a sense that together...those of us who can...can make a difference. One dollar a day to us is really nothing but to others...it is everything. After all we are all human beings and we should all help each other.

This feels like a scam.I am using my streaming account because they have my address. Two guys approached me disingenuously friendly as if following a script, but I listened to them as they said they were doing charity. Then they asked for a lot of personal information that I would have preferred not to have given them. Then they asked to see my bank card!? When I said no, and I would rather fill in the rest myself they got nasty with me and accused me of lying to avoid donating! They already filled in my personal details on their tablet to a website that could be anything. I asked them to send me the website so I could finish the application and they refused. They wouldn’t even let me keep the brochure, very dodgy. This really feels like a scam, and I am worried that they have all my personal details. If this happens to anyone else consider lodging a complaint with ACNC.

I got approached by 2 people who were claiming that they work for child fund charity and donation stuff. At first they said their transactions has been declined but today I had seen 40$ has been deducted from my account as they were rushing while having my details they entered my email and phone number wrong must be cause I had not received any mail or sms of transactions. But they do have my details worried what to do next ??

I had a good conversation yesterday with a young man named Aidarn Aedin? (Outside the Big Grill on Waymouth) Not sure how to spell it but he was quite good in explaining things and being very personable. Unfortunately, I am unable to help longterm and he explained that they were unable to take short term donations. Suggestion: work out a way that someone can donate a dollar a day for a month. In the longrun youll earn more because people turn away if they are locked in longterm whereas I was happy to help for a month if I could. Either way a shout out to the guy with the weird spelling like my weird spelling. He's a good man for the job despite me not being able to assiat on this occasion. Would also be handy if there was an email we could be sent to read on exactly what we would be signing up for too :)

Got accosted in a shopping center by one of their reps who convinced me to sign up and told me at first no payments for 6 weeks only to have him tell me right after I signed up that it will come out that day. Upon telling some friends, some of them had been involved before with this charity and warned me that they are not particularly reputable.I went to their website and find in their terms of service that they reserve the right to change your amount paid and the frequency whenever they want, something they do NOT tell you face to face. I could find no way to actually cancel this without a 'supporter number', which was never given to me and ended up needing to call my bank about it. On top of this, within a day of them getting my phone number, my number was suddenly being bombarded with telemarketers, so seems they wasted no time in selling my contact details either. If you want to donate to charity, do it yourself, dont let people approach you and pressure you into it.

ChildFund chooses to spend its marketing budget for contractors to spend time on their telephones.Won’t donate to a charity that thinks this is a good look. They obviously don’t need the $$$.Noarlunga Centre 6 June.

I was tricked into a donation today. Lovely guy but very clever in he's technique. He didn't tell me it was a monthly donation. Because of the tricks, it took away from the feeling of giving back. I will never stop and talk to these guys ever again, I hate being tricked and played...especially when I'm a decent person trying to do good.

I don't like giving charity's a bad review but it's important that feedback is given in a open forum to stop bad things from happening. I signed up to the $35 monthly payment (knowing it was a monthly take out) my plan was to do it once and then cancel it. So I did, I called and emailed to cancel it, got confirmation it was cancelled. Then the second payment came out. I called again and got a email confirmation saying I would get the payment back and it was 100% cancelled. Then the third payment came out, still no refund. I called again, pretty annoyed at this stage and was told it's in the notes for a refund but my subscription was still active even after being told twice it had been cancelled! That's when I had a big go at them. Three times is purely unacceptable. And for the employees who have made mistakes people will see this and be turned off to support this charity. I tried to do the right thing but it turned around and got me in the backside. This will turn me off from giving to other charities for the lack of ownership people are taking with other people's money. People will ruin it for others who do the right thing time in and out
