Mayfair Dry Cleaners

Never left a bad review in my life. However, i brought in a button up shirt to Mayfair to be dry cleaned in April. When i went to pick the shirt up they told me the shirt had been damaged and they were trying another cleaning method. I have called over 5 times - No one has any idea where the shirt is, (i presume its been chucked out) and they keep telling me someone will call me back with more details - i have never recieved a call and this has lasted over 6 months. I will absolutely never use this service again.

First time using Mayfair Dry Cleaners and I was so impressed with the service. Same day service without charging exorbitant fees. 24/7 pick up or drop off makes it so convenient for busy people!

Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. Reading other reviews, I wish I did. $65 for 4 garments plus 1 tie. All 5 garments came back smelly. The slightest superficial marks, still on the garments. The marks" are so light they scratched of with my nail. I would have expected them removed in the dry cleaning process. The garments didn't look like they were cleaned at all. Only pressed. Came back covered in lint and animal hair. No refund offered. Only offer to re "dry clean" That day only. Or I could pay more!! for extra cleaning."

After our financial year ball, my $800 Zimmerman dress had a few liquid marks that were very apparent due to the material of the dress. I originally took it to another Dry Cleaner close to home, who wouldn’t touch the dress until further payment was received & claim that they had already tried to clean it (but needed a stronger product to achieve results). After calling Mayfair in a panic, they had it stain & crease free in a few hours! Not to meantion, much cheaper than the other Dry Cleaner! Have referred family & friends - thank you so much again!

A simple seam repair and now my expensive Veronica Maine top is ruined!!Took my much loved and expensive top to the central station location for a small seam repair. It came back discoloured all across the front and the back. The lady who works there confirmed it was in perfect condition when I dropped it off. The owner Emmanuel said its not their fault and can be sent off for 'testing' at a $200 cost to ME. Why should I have to pay for something you have damaged??!!He was so rude and arrogant. I will now have to spend over $150 to replace my top. I will NEVER go back there again.

Don't risk it. Use to be ok and have given this place so much business over the years. Loyalty was recently rewarded with abuse. Over the last month they have wrecked clothes by adding stains that clearly are other colours touching. The staff are rude and aggressive when asked to remedy their errors. They wanted waivers signed to get out of liability. We cut our losses and went elsewhere. Another dry cleaner managed to fix the damage they caused and saved a $400 blazer. Will never go back despite living down the road.

This is the worst service I have had in a long, long time. I bought a beautiful dress for a special occasion and had worn it once. Because it was special, I took it to be dry cleaned. I specifically asked the Dry Cleaner to look at the tag and was told - this would be no problem - and that it would be ready Monday, after lunch. I arrived after lunch on Monday - dry cleaning not ready. Apparently, I should have been told, it would be ready after 4.00pm. I returned and picked it up on Friday - nothing was said to me. it was only when I was home and pulled the dress out of the packing, that I noticed all the sparkle on the fabric was removed around both armholes front and back. It looks like two great big greasy marks where they had rubbed too hard. When I took it back - it was all not our fault . . . you must have sweated . . . you must have worn deodorant." They said they would talk to the boss and call me back. No call Friday. I rang them. No call Saturday. I called them on Monday. "No - call the manufacturer - it's their fault". Five journeys to the Dry Cleaner. Charged to ruin my clothing. No apology. Rude poor service and one destroyed beautiful dress."

Fiasco from start to finish. This used to be a decent dry cleaner. Now they are overpriced and inefficient. A bamboo doona delivered was given 3 different stories regarding cleaning. Including one phone call where I wasInformed that it was the incorrect doona and they had my actual doona here. Poorest customer service, incomplete and conflicting service. Snide staff response when obviously leaving unsatisfied.Excuses

It was a bad idea not to rely on all the negative reviews here and try my luck. I’ve never experienced such a poor services anywhere. My dress was returned to me in the same condition as I gave it to them, even though I confirmed with them that they provide Green Dry Cleaning which was required for my dress. It was supposed to be delivered the next day, but they were late 1 week with its final delivery. Promised to call me, but didn’t. I sent an email and a follow up, was trying to reach them on the phone for a few days and when Emmanuel finally picked up he said that I need to believe them that it was cleaned and they will not refund my money. But fact is a fact - my dress is still the same as before I took it there. Never use this dry cleaning service.
