About the Business
MuhammEd Ourang - NAATI-certified Translator (Persian to/from English) - NAATI | LinkedIn | I have submitted my PhD thesis on "Reference Grammar of Lari Language (Aheli dialect)" at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia. My mother tongue, Lari, is an Iranian endangered languages which is spoken in south of Iran and some Arabic-speaking countries such as UAE by Laris in diaspora.
My work is "the first first grammar of the Lari language" written in order to save this 'sleeping beauty', Lari. Data were collected through fieldwork (interview and questionnaire) in 2018 for two months in Ahel, Fars, Iran, soon after which I analysed the data and started writing chapters on Phonology, Nominal & Verbal Morphology and Phrase Syntax.
After finishing my Master's in 'Teaching Persian to Speakers of Other Languages' (TPSOL) from Former National University of Iran (now, SBU), I have been teaching Persian for 7 years in Qazvin International University, Former National University of Iran and SIR, Tehran. In these universities, I have taught receptive and productive skills at basic, intermediate and advanced levels to learners from Middle East, Europe, Asia, Australia and America. I also have designed syllabuses for Advanced Reading for Humanities and Advanced Reading for Engineers as well as Refresher Courses in 2015 & 2016 in Iran including.
At the moment, I am teaching Persian to English-speaking learners (non-heritage learners) at basic and intermediate levels in Sydney face-to-face and online.
I am also NAATI-certified Translator (Persian-English and English-Persian) in NSW and provide the Iranian community with translation services in legal, educational, business and governmental areas.
