Flat Rock Picnic Area
A lovely and serene spot by the Fish river. The sound of the water flowing through the rocks is relaxing. There is a barbecue plate with shelter and a drop toilet. The short footbridge to access the river is slippery and falling apart. Take care.

The Fish River is lovely at Flatrock, O'Connell. You can have a dip in hot weather, too.

Serene location, great place to relax, have a barbecue and enjoy the sounds of nature and running water. A good location to bring just yourself or the family.

Definitely a beautiful place to free camp. There's a drop Toilet. Great for fishing, swimming, photography and wildlife. Spacious grass camping.

It is a great camp spot by the river, lots of room, toilet facilities, and dog friendly. It's a top place to cool off for a swim.

Flat Rock is a nice camp spot with a long drop and bins.It's a real shame that the little bridge over the first creek hasn't been replaced yet. Perhaps when the weather patterns settle down a bit? There is now no (easy) access to the lovely stretch of rocks which give the place its name..

Beautiful, quiet, open area with BBQ facilities and picnic tables by the river. Drop toilet.

Flat Rock Picnic Area
This is a spectacularly beautiful and tranquil spot. We only visited but would have been very happy to camp here. See the amazing effect years of running water can have on bedrock. This is only a short 25 min drive from Bathurst.
