Lumus Imaging St George Private Hospital MRI

I had a procedure at Lumus, this morning…..was last minute appointment made by my specialist.I was really impressed with their efficiency, the caring treatment and their new equipment.My, many thanks for their help and assistance..

This is a wonderful service. Firstly the people who work here are kind, professional, calm, friendly, and efficient, which helped put me at ease and to feel very comfortable. They explained everything I needed to know and the appointments ran smoothly. I needed to come on 2 consecutive days as needed 2 parts of the body MRI'd. It took me less than a week to get an appointment (which was fast for a non-urgent situation), they used medicare with the machine to help with the costs and were far better priced than the other places I called (and able to get me in faster) . I was also able to come at 9pm at night, which meant I didn't need to take time off from work, there was no traffic and easy parking. Thank you to Lumus and your wonderful staff here for providing such a great service, which I highly recommend to others.

Mu husband went through thoracic bone biopsy today, before procedure they said they will provide sedation and put cannula but later on they did without any local anesthesia or anything(supposedly dr said he didn't need anything)....he was so much in pain, is it supposed to be done like that??

For someone who is petrified of MRI's this is the only place I will come to. They always make me feel at ease and are very patient.

I had a spine MRI done yesterday.I wasn't going to leave a review, but I didn't enjoy my experience and thought others should know about it.I don't know the name of name of the lady that did my scan, but I think she had an Irish accent.I've done others MRIs in the past and I don't usually have problem with it. But I left there thinking that IF I was claustrophobic or something, the lady wouldn't have helped either.I felt really rushed. She didn't even asked me if I was wearing any metal or had any metal in my clothes. She didn't help me to feel at ease at all.As soon as I entered the room, was like: Get in bed and I will do your scan as quick as possible. I wasn't told what the procedure was going to be like.She even told me I had to wear a mask to be inside the machine. I'm no doctor, but what's the point of wearing a mask inside the MRI for half an hour I I'm not going to have contact with if anyone and no one will be in the room with me?At least when I asked if I really needed to wear one and said I might feel claustrophobic she allowed me not wear it. Not to mention that when I arrived at reception, she was not wearing a mask?She might be good with the technical part of the scan, but in my opinion she needs to get better with the human side of it, which in my opinion is just as important. Especially in her position.I hope this review helps her to improve her service and others can benefit from it on next visits.

I recently had a procedure performed here. Everyone was so lovely. The reception, the radiographers, and the doctor was proficient and quick (but not rushed). I felt really well looked after and cared for by the staff. Thanks!

Last Saturday I had a brain MRI at the St George MRI practice. Admittedly, before I got there, I was terrified as I’m quite claustrophobic and was generally stressed. Cherie, the radiographer, provided exceptional patient care and explained the whole process thoroughly. She was patient and encouraging throughout, which helped me get through the whole scan (approx 40 mins). My report was also sent to my doctor promptly. I truly appreciate the team’s support and help through this stressful time and highly recommend them.
