The Alabama Hotel

I didn't stay at the hotel but dropped in for drinks 4 times on a recent trip to Hobart. Super friendly staff, really cool vibe, good selection of beer in bottles and cans and nice balcony with the most awesome heated tables.

This was an excellent budget friendly hotel as a solo traveler.The staff went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcome, from the front desk staff to the bar staff.The bathrooms were spotless and the room was clean and really warm, which was great to come back to in the Hobart Winter.Would definitely return to stay here with friends.

Fantastic hotel in the middle of Hobart, price was great, room was great, vibe was also great. Shared toilets are clean, they were not busy, and the dog is very cute.

Didn't stay here but dropped past for a drink today (22/1/23) the nicest staff and best pub dog I ever met!! First beer on holiday in Hobart and they were full of great ideas and directions as to things to do while we're here... Will be back! Thank you!

Super cool place! Wouldn't normally stay somewhere with shared amenities but The Alabama did it so well, clean, warm, quiet, great location, super friendly staff, cute dogs. Would highly recommend great value stay!

Lovely staff who were very helpful... We didn't stay here but dropped past for a cold beer on a hot day and we're greeter by a lovely pub dog and lots of advice.of place to check out and visit during our time in Hobart...

We booked a 4 night stay, specifically for the art and murals advertised however we were given the smallest room with no mural which was disappointing.Others who were there only one night got a mural and a larger room so a bit of fomo set in, just disappointed that they wouldn’t prioritise the guests with a longer stay.The bar area was super funky and we spent a few nights enjoying happy hour on the balcony. Drinks were inconsistent depending on who made them though so I’m not sure how much bartending training is given to staff.The room was clean but the shared bathroom wasn’t. I can tell why they chose black speckled flooring…Location is the main selling point here, but is more of a backpackers than a hotel.Staff were super friendly and no complaints are in relation to their hospitality.

I must say that at first the shared bathroom did not please me at all, however I was lucky not to share it simultaneously with anyone, apart from this, an excellent location, very comfortable rooms, excellent staff, congratulations to all the guys, very friendly and attentive.Great atmosphereGood cocktailsAnd an adorable doggy100% recommendable

Satisfactory stay during 16-21/3.Got early check-in when I arrived earlier than the expectation time. I booked a twin bedroom which was larger than the queen one. Room was acceptable in this price, it was clean. Although I did not expect a shared bathroom, the bathroom was really clean, bright and proper that I did not felt uncomfortable. There was 1 toilet and 2 showers in the bathroom and luckily I did not have to wait for sb or sb have to wait for me while I was using the facilities.Staffs were friendly, thank you for the service during my stay.

Lovely vibe, didn't stay but had drinks. Great couches and a nice place to chill out with friends
