Awesome personal tour by owner, at our leisurely pace, included Morning tea, full wander of house store shearing shed and anywhere else we fancied. No glossy remakes or cover ups, you get to see what it really is was is like. Great narrative and information. Kim & Cody

History, history, history. Arrived to be greeted with a fabulous morning tea spread, good old fashioned country hospitality, than given a inside in to the history of the property, a tour of the homestead, original store still with plenty of memorabilia and than a tour of the shearing shed, which is in the process of restoration. All for only $15 pp. More than worth the price and trip to get there. They also have camping & caravan spots, with hot showers. Well done.

What a fantastic experience, loved the guided tour from Kim, the owner, of the historic house, store and shearing shed. She had heaps of fascinating facts and stories to tell. We camped in our caravan at the Shearer's quarters, beside the Darling River, with access to toilets, hot (rustic) showers, and a washing machine included. Best of all was cooking our camp oven on the fire pit (wood provided). We had a shot at fishing, with lots of nibbles, but no catch this time. We were there mid June, which was cold at night but lovely days, and no flies. We drove there on dirt road from Cobar, which was pretty rough (our van is semi off-road), but the trip from Dunlop Station to Bourke was a much better dirt road. We (and our 2 year old Jack Russell) will definitely go back again, we loved every minute of our 3 night stay.

We had a lovely time at Dunlop Station. Kim has really put so much heart and work into restoring it and its great history. What a treasure trove as well! And you can’t go past the amazing strawberry cream sponge cake for morning tea.
