Max Therapy

My sister and I went to this place as we had a Scoopon voucher for a 70 minute hot stone full body massage. We first called up the place to book a massage and the woman we spoke to was not friendly or helpful and would not let us speak to the manager after we asked that we would like to speak to him. They made us a booking only after we emailed them.I found out that me and my sister were given different massages even though we had the same voucher. I was given a full body massage but she was only massaged on her back for a whole 70 minutes. She did not get massaged on her feet or her head or the entire front body whereas I was. When she asked her masseuse to increase the pressure, the masseuse said she will have to pay an extra $20. I have never been asked to pay more for increased pressure!! The masseuse said that deep tissue is an extra $20 which I understand, but all my sister was asking for was more pressure which the masseuse refused. The pressure was so light that it did not even feel like a massage, it felt more like gentle touching.Afterwards we spoke to the masseuse, and her response was very shockingly rude. She would not listen to our complaint, instead she rolled her eyes and in a very unprofessional manner and rude tone she said “I will get my manager to deal with the problem”. She was very condescending and very unprofessional. The manager was cooperative, however this experience was enough for us to never go back, and to not recommend this place.

I asked for deep tissue and the masseuse did no massaging whatsoever. Literally just rubbed way too much oil and Nivea moisturiser on my back with her arm. Left the door open and went and served other customers during my massage and was burping and whispering to herself the whole time. Headrests are also so uncomfortable and give you a headache to top it all off. Will not be returning.

This place was my regular go - to 1 year ago. Now, both times I've tried to go they've miscommunication time or availability. I gave it one more shot and booked a remedial only to be told the hicaps machine doesn't work NOR the eftpos machine so cash only. I just had a credit card. Highly disappointed and won't be back.The first time they made me wait 20mins only to be told they actually didn't have availability and the second, I booked the remedial massage the day before only to come to the store and be told cash only.

Went there for Remedial Massage on 7 Feb 2020, Friday night. The therapist is very good and understand my problem very well. I dont need to book an appointment, straightaway the therapist fixed my back. Thank you very much for your great service!

Great Massage. There are many massage places in Highpoint, but most of them are using staff that are not qualified to do the remedial massage required for a private health fund contribution. Max Therapy does have well qualified staff and does accept health fund contributions, so it made its self a natural choice for me. The staff speak clear English, making it easy to converse about what issue/s you need to address with your remedial massage. Highly recommended.

It's not bad. The cubicles are a little crammed but once you lie down and zone out it doesn't really matter. The masseuse was great at her job and waited for me though I was running late. If you're ever in highpoint and the shopping is getting you stressed this is a great spot to walk in and untangle those muscle knots! They offer both oil massage and dry, and caters your preference of gender for the masseuse so you're fully comfortable. Overall nice relaxing experience :)

Best massage ever!Went in with a Groupon for a 70 minute oil massage with hot stones.Pablo was amazing, checking that the pressure was okay often and being attentive to my comfort.I had sore shoulders and he really helped work out all the knots - I'm feeling like a new person now!Would definitely recommend and would definitely visit again.Thanks so much!

I've been cancelled twice very unprofessionally.If you value your time and money then not going to recommend Max Therapy at Highpoint Shopping Centre to anyone!Had booked for the remedial massage and confirmed it twice keeping in mind that it is holiday time and a lot of people aren't available.I received a call from Kathy early in the morning 8.45am and she told me she had to leave early on 30th and wouldn't able to provide the service. She herself offered me for the massage for today and now she has called me to let me know that she can't do the massage today as well. Highly unprofessional!

Very disappointing experience. The massage therapist was lethargic, there was no communication and she obviously had reflux, as she burped her way through the entire massage. The very opposite of therapeutic and relaxing, I rarely post poor reviews, but this was truly terrible.

Amazing experience. Worth going and will be going again
