I stayed they in my rooftop tent owner was Verry helpful and the place is also an information centre so he let me know all the best places and had discount tokens as well would recommend best location near the beach and has a pool as well as wifi

Stayed for four nights with my 2 kids aged 5 & 6. Absolutely delighted. Tropical hideaway!The pool was perfect for the kids (they often had it to themselves).The rooms catered to all our needs* great kitchen with every utensil you’d want* clean* quiet* felt safe* smart tv (hello Netflix)* comfy beds* fans and airconThe location was better than I anticipated. Perfectly situated for trips to Hartleys, palm Cove, Kuranda … and no time at all into the city. Local shops were good and Coles/Woolies were a stones throw away. My kids aren’t walkers but the beach was so close & was perfect for morning walks etc. parking was a breeze and easy to access (great as kids always leave things in car!)Hosts were friendly and available to help. Lots of your information available.I can’t fault the place. I’d happily stay here again.

Villa Marine is so peaceful and such a tranquil area only 2 min walk from the beach. Peter was so helpful and friendly, making it feel like home away from home. We have stayed at Pullman in Palm cove on previous trips luxurious but busy and noisy so not a touch on the quiet peaceful rest we felt at Villa Marine. We will definitely be back to stay next time at Villa Marine from now on!

We stayed for six nights and found our stay very comfortable. Peter, the owner was very welcoming and helpful. The units have some quirky decoration with a layout that was spacious with either window screening and ceiling fans for those that wanted a tropical feel or effective airconditioning if you wanted something cooler. The view from the unit windows was an inviting green background around the units’ shady verandahs and pool area. If you want to stay at Yorkeys, you won’t be disappointed if you book in here.

On the pricey side at AUD200 for a motel. Albeit, larger and self contained. Has a pool and laid back vibe. AC remote didn’t work. No wifi

My partner and I urgently needed accommodation for the night as we had locked ourselves out. Villa Marine was just around the corner and even though we thought we may be pushing our luck with such short notice, Peter was wonderful and gave us a room immediately.I'm sort of sad we were only there for a night! What a surprisingly lovely spot! Surprising only because the exterior of the place belies what is inside the gate! A very comfortable, clean, and well appointed unit. Peter was a dream to deal with, the bed was comfy, the aircon was cool, and the surroundings so pretty.I look forward to staying again as a wee forget the outside world for the weekend." Mind you

I’m a local, but had to stay somewhere local at the last second due to plumbing issues. I don’t drive and recalled seeing this place, so called to see if they had any vacancies. The owner was fantastically helpful and was able to put me up for the night. I’m glad I did, this place is beautiful and charming. The outside of the building does no justice to the actual accommodation and tropical setting. Had a lovely peaceful sleep before I had to go home and deal with the plumbing aftermath. Will definitely be booking my family in when they visit from out of state.

Very nice, very peaceful we stayed 2 nights and loved every bit of it. Definitely stay there next time, and it's pet friendly.

Villa Marina is a beautiful locally owned hotel with just a few rooms. We really enjoyed our stay in the nicely decorated rooms. The bed is really comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. The hotel is in a really quiet neighborhood next to a forest, it was really nice to relax in the garden next to the pool.It was a huge plus, that the complex had an amazing information center, where the manager told us about all the tours in Cairns and surroundings. He had an extensive knowledge about the diving safaris and had way better prices, then in the city center.

We were excited to move to Cairns and Peter at Villa Marine offered up some of the finest hospitality imaginable for our temporary accommodation.The peaceful pocket of paradise would suit both short holidays and slightly longer stays.Accommodation was fresh and inviting, with the afternoon shaded lawn sloping down to the most fabulous of resort style pools - huge.Only a minutes walk from the beach.Would have no hesitation recommending Villa Marine for a variety of travellers, and can only thank the folk for such a wonderful experience - felt more like staying with family.
