Got recommended to come to Torquey for the fish and chips at Fishos and was not disappointed at all. There were 7 of us and we ordered 7 sets of fish and chip (gummy shark) and extra sauces on the sides. The fish was perfectly cooked and great size, I thought I could eat more but it is filling. The view is great and the staff were very friendly. Only downfall was there was no ice there because I like my drinks ice cold. But overall highly recommended and will definitely be back. Thanks for the great lunch.

When you just want a simple but perfectly cooked fish and chips in Torquay, Fishos is the place to go. We had both grilled fish and fried fish and both were done perfectly. Seafood was fresh and service was attentive eventhough the place was quite busy.

If you’re trying to decide where to eat! And keen on some solid seafood, You MUST try this place. Luke and the team were very welcoming, told us well in advance the food might take time (considering it was a busy Saturday, this was expected) — but boy, was the wait worth it. The scallops were amazing, the char grilled octopus and fennel, mind blowing and the fish and chips were spectacular. Washed it all down with some craft coconut water, perfect after a good day at the beach. Highly recommend, good food, great hospitality, underrated for sure!

Chips are so good! (Hand cut)Fish is very fresh and the salads are beautiful.More than just your regular “fish and chips”.We have already been twice and definitely will be a regular spot for us.

My partner and I visited Fishos for lunch and we were welcomed with open arms which made the vibe very cosy.We ordered a few things from their specials menu as well as their fried fish (hapuka) with cauliflower salad. Everything was absolutely amazing! My favourite dish was the school prawns with chili that had changed my view on small prawns. It was fried with some chili and salt but it did not change the integrity of the prawn taste with every bite. It was crispy on the outside like a french frie but succulent inside as the prawn remained fresh within.The batter on the fried hapuka was incredible. Such a crunchy batter but soft and tender flaky fish that is just very harmonious of both textures. The cauliflower salad was fresh and had some crunchy to it with the macadamia nuts tossed within the mix that gave it a refreshing and delicious bite to it. Hand-cut chips were also delicious! Very balanced between the crispiness and the freshness of the potato! The scallops were very fresh with the herb butter !Lastly the salmon with salsa verde was just an incredible light dish of a grilled salmon with a refreshing serving of the salsa verde that just swims in the light sauce.I would recommend their school prawns with chili if they are available for anyone that comes to Fishos but their gold standard is the fried fish (hapuka all the way if available) in my opinion.Overall, just a great experience at Fishos and we can't wait for more specials when we're there next!

Best fish and chips in Melbourne. Usually drive all the way from the city just to go there.The fish is always fresh and the batter is not oily. The tacos are amazing too. Try one of each (grilled, fried and Ceviche)Staff are super friendly too

Outstanding, on so many aspects.Best Tacos, order a mix of three ways. The hand cut chips were perfection. Tiny, but perfectly formed wine list. The team were charming and superb service. Would highly recommend for lunch stop in Torquay!
