Currimundi Family Doctors

Most doctors are lovely.However, reception staff are short with you and rude. Had a lot of trouble booking an appointment for our 1 week old and made to feel stupid when we didn't know the time frame for follow up vaccinations.Doctor and receptionist disagreed on this time frame.Also had doctor and nurse argue in front of me whether or not I could be given a flu needle when pregnant or if the needles were 'reserved' for a different patient group.Overall very unprofessional and we are glad we changed centres.

I have been attending this practice for the last 4 years and at all times I have received professional, kind and caring attention from all staff. My GP is proactive and keeps me informed of all necessary procedures and follow ups as required. This is one of the best medical practices that I have attended over recent years and I consider myself lucky to be a patient there.

Visited today around noon for my Covid booster, large uncrowded reception area and waiting room and busy but smiling and helpful receptionists. 5 minutes after arrival and completion of consent forms, I was in with the friendly nurse administering the shots. I asked how her day was going and she told me we're delivering 50 shots today". They might have finished by mid afternoon going by the smooth efficiency I saw in effect during my visit. Very impressive! A super outfit by the looks of things and will be happy to visit again in the future. Yay."

I have recently moved to the Sunshine Coast from Brisbane and needed to find a new GP which can be a daunting exercise.After some research I contacted this clinic and the whole process has been very positive. From my initial interaction to make the appointment and then my first visit the reception the staff were polite, friendly and efficient. My new GP Dr Siawchwin Lee was friendly, professional and competent in her initial health assessment and plan moving forward so I feel I am in good hands. The website is also user friendly and informative including latest updates which is handy.I have no hesitation in recommending this clinic.

Waited 2.5 weeks for an appointment to view Blood test . Was 10 min late and told to rebook . Its different when the doctor is running late . Just sit there and be patient . Staff at counter are stone faced and miserable .

Phoned to ask for an urgent appointment due to serious ongoing condition. Due to the long wait time to get an appointment, I asked if the receptionist could at least ask doctor to write a referral for a specialist or urgently put me in for an appointment and to call me back to let me know if this is possible. No call back from the receptionist to let me know if this was possible or even if she spoke to the doctor. The receptionist clearly didn't talk or ask the doctor. Every single reception staff I have dealt with in this surgery has been either rude or stone faced or treat you like you are wasting their time. Went to another doctor who acted quickly to have urgent" tests done after discussing the ongoing condition. The doctor at Currimundi Family Doctors was aware so I would expect would have liked to know if I needed to see her urgently."

This is a great surgery but since Covid I have found it extremely hard to get an appointment the next day. Most times it could be up to a week to see a doctor. This is 2022 and should be made a lot easier to get a quick appointment and Covid should have not changed anything in this regard.

I saw Dr Lee today for a consult and she was super welcoming, friendly and informative. I didn’t feel rushed, she answered all my questions and then some. I feel like the consult was very thorough and she addressed all of my concerns in a short time. The appointment was on time and everything was clear from the initial phone call (fees etc). Would definitely recommend Dr Lee and Currimundi Family Doctors to anyone.

The Doctors at Currimundi Family Doctors are very friendly, efficient, thorough and caring.They take the time to listen and follow through with their treatment plans.I am very happy with the service.The receptionists are lovely too.An all round wonderful experience for me being the first time I have attended the Clinic.

I found all the staff and doctors welcoming and informative which created a comforting atmosphere and ensured my experience was very positive. Having visited the busy vaccine clinic I witnessed the rapid treatment of multiple patients and was impressed with their operation which was both personable and efficient. I would happily recommend this practice to others.
