Camping by the river at this large campground is real camping. No television or amenities of any kind. What it does have though is Telstra and internet, (best on 3g), space, serenity, birds and lots of friendly horses. Water, dump point and beautiful fully tiled modern flush toilets are just a very short drive away in another fantastic park by the river. In town, which is on the other side of the river, is the biggest IGA that I have ever seen. It's a department store as well as supermarket. And across the road is a bakery with the freshest and tastiest pies. Bingara is well worth a visit for a week or more. One of our newest favourites. ❤

Absolutely beautiful spot on the river, close to town and if self contained a great spot to spend a few days exploring the area, a real credit to the town, thanks Bingara.

As of 18/6/20 the river was almost not flowing. Algae covering most of river. Beautiful sunny, especially for winter cold nights. Small amounts of firewood. Quite and peaceful.

Lovely spot to camp but get in early as it was packed. Very friendly locals. Alot of work for builders electricians and other trades if looking for some work, put out the feelers. There is alot more free camps around down by the river, so a good place to explore and relax.Oh and the blue shoes were left behind by someone.

Great camping areas alongside the river not far out of the lovely country town of Bingara. Plenty to select from, so no need to cram in on top of someone else. The free camps continue further along the river, so if you don't find a nice spot at one, continue to the next.Just make sure you support the town of Bingara as a thank you for making this available. It's a lovely little town with tons of character and bakeries with pastries, pies, rolls and lots of yummy stuff. You could smell it walking down the street. Plenty of parking in Bingara for longer rigs off the main street.

Wonderful, peaceful place to spend the night by the river with the sounds of nature. But I had to get my two wheel drive camper out of there because of the forecast rains. I might get stuck in the morning.

We camped on a high spot rather than close to the river, to utilise the sun for our solar panels. After we set up camp, we became aware of a terrible smell. My husband went to investigate. He found about 30 fish carcasses abandoned. They were fly blown and maggot infested. He went about burying them, but wildlife were digging them up each night.Bingara Town was really nice, lovely people, especially the ladies in the information centre. Very friendly and informative.

We didn't stay but it looks to be good for a few night free camping. Peaceful by the river. Plenty of space. Not well marked but keep driving once you reach the river and there is a turn in with a white sign.

Lovely spot to camp. There is an eastern and western side. The eastern side is more remote and a bit lower to the river so need to be careful is rain predicted.

Still here, nice and green, not too far from town. Lovely town.
