I can not thank Darwin Funeral Services enough for delivering my fathers service in line with our wishes without delay or unnecessary stress, this was in stark contrast to a local competitor who dishonoured their word to us about our being allowed to view our Father much to our distress. Rates were reasonable and staff were understanding. 10/10

Today we had our mothers funeral here, I'd love to say it was an all amazing service and the reason I am writing this review is not to deter anyone it's to publicly give feedback (constructive) to help this business if they are willing to take it.The negativeOutdated technologyImpatient staff memberRun down facilityThe sound and photo slides were not able to be played we were told to not connect our computer and I could see at that point the lady had lost her patience and began telling us off as if we were children, it's important to always remember this is a funeral and we felt like we had to argue. The solution is a better system. Not everyone wants to transfer to usb and more importantly the file was larger so a hdmi connection option wouldve reduced all of the hassle and bad vibe we received. We ended up not being able to have the photo slide due to not being able to send the file as it was too big.We found the sound quality wasn't the best and also the chapel seemed run down and needed some love.Thankfully we have a positive experience as well, my mother was dressed and looked absolutely beautiful, the casket choice was easy and had some great options and the punctuality was good, I want to say as well we have 4 days to plan it and pull it off so I understand the urgency was there.We still had a beautiful day and still recommend this service as it was only details like technology and feel that was the let down, but the overall experience was still good.The only other criticism I have is that I felt the business side of it seemed a little front and centre and as if the money buys the respect. That's what I felt, once it was paid the attitude changed, seemed a little strange to me as we should respect all funerals.My words to leave the owners with is thisIt may be your 1000th funeral but it's our first so please treat every funeral as if it's your first not as if it's just another. Cause we felt it was just another funeral for you all. Your casual talks of cremation and insensitive comments show that you are not respecting the aspect that it's our mother and not just another client.Thank you all.
