Had the most incredible dinner here last night. Every single dish was immaculate and the service amazing. Easily one of the best restaurants in Melbourne.

I'm usually a bit suspicious when a place has only 5 star reviews but Bar Thyme is worth it. Everything about this place was top notch: the fit-out, the vinyl spinning, the service, the drinks menu and of course, the food. I recommend emailing them to book ahead so they can plan around covid restrictions. There was a set menu when we were there and each course was a delightful surprise. Potentially the best dinner I've had in the 9 years I've lived in Melbourne.

I had the pork belly with cider puree and kohlrabi. All the flavours were exceptional except my crackling was rubbery. Crackling is the best part of pork belly......The thrice cooked chips were great. The pepper flavour in the dipping sauce was perfection.

This place is definitely a vibe. Everything we ordered tasted amazing and fresh. The ladies were providing plenty of information on the menu and the drinks giving you a better idea on what you'll be expecting. Staff were so welcoming, lovely and knowledgeable! Highly recommend sussing out this place!

Have been here a few times for drinks and always thought the food looked and smelt amazing, let me tell you, was not disappointed, one of the best steaks I've had out for some time, simply amazing!They also make a extremely tasty mojito!Will be returning.

Little gem of a place we spotted when we were planning on hitting up another place but decided to try here instead. Small menu that changes frequently, I'm guessing with available fresh produce as we went again about 2 weeks later and some dishes were different. All the dishes I had on both occasions were cooked beautifully but just a bit too salty for my liking. My friend is vegetarian and had different dishes, and she didn't think hers were overly salty when eaten as a whole, though individual elements might've been. The drinks were a bit hit and miss, although all were visually appealing. My favourite would be the house sour" which is not on the menu

Unbelievable food, great drinks, and really friendly staff. We've loved everything we've had from here, the food is totally unique and unlike anything else in Melbourne. Interesting combinations of ingredients that lead to dishes that really blow you away. And the wine was so good we immediately went home and bought bottles. Oh, and try the Bar Thyme spritz - who knew thyme was such a great ingredient for a spritz?

I recently dined at Bar Thyme and was impressed with the excellent service, and the vibrant atmosphere, however can be hard to hear conversations when busy. I found the to be a bit steep for the serving size but food was delicious. The location is convenient and easily accessible with ample street parking available. Overall, I would recommend you to check it out.

This is a lovely venue with a wide wine list and excellent professional wait-staff. We had the Feed Me food option. Earlier courses were extremely meagre - very disappointing. The main dish of aged beef was overcooked and dry. Atmosphere was uncomfortable as the sound system was often pumping so loud we couldn't communicate.I have been here several times previously but this visit ($400 for 3) was sadly, rather awful.
