High Cross Park
High Cross Park has recently been renovated into a memorial plaza where you can sit and reflect on life and local history. During recent construction for the new light rail system, they discovered the outline of a World War II air raid trench from 1942. The new paving in the plaza shows the outline and has seating surrounding it. It's a beautiful spot to sit and have lunch and is easily accessible.

It's a little park in the middle of a very busy place so while it's restful it's not part ticularly peaceful

A small park adjacent to the terminus of the light rail. A pleasant place away from the busy commercial area to sit & enjoy lunch, although the water fountain wasn't working & there are no public toilets.

High Cross Park is a small but well maintained area with a memorial plaza where you can sit and enjoy the outdoors,have lunch, reflect on life and learn a bit about local history.There is a memorial to air raid trenches that existed during WW2 with the outline of where they were shown by the paving design with seating and information provided.It's a beautiful spot to visit and is easily accessible by all, however its detracted by the noise from significant traffic during peak times.Very close to the light rail, retail shopping and Hospital facilities (literally across the road).

It's currently under construction for the Light Rail project so not much happening here at the moment.
