Elysium Day Spa

I was given a voucher for the recharge massage. Description on the Web site says this is a complete facial treatment, incorporating deep cleansing, exfoliation, mask, and massage of the back, neck, face, décolletage, hands and feet. I was really looking forward to it. However, the male therapist gave me a 45 minute massage that I wasn't expecting, and that made me feel quite uncomfortable! This was followed by a 15 minute, what I would call a MINI facial, and because my hair was not placed back out of the way by a headband or clips, it kept getting mixed up with the creams that were rubbed into my face. Very unprofessional! I left the place feeling ripped off, and looking like something out of Star Trek as my forehead was deeply marked by the table during the massage.! I felt bad for my son who paid for this!

Have been here multiple times now for a massage. Staff are quite friendly, and the place has a really relaxing reception area. Decent of choices for spa therapies. And great location. Prices are some of the cheapest going around.The only negative is the parking, especially with the parking meters out front. If your appointment goes for over 2 hours, I suggest parking in the multi storey car parking across the road.

Minimal verbal contact, never asked which treatment I was having, hot stones kept in basic kitchen slow cooker in the floor. Never asked if I was comfortable or needed anything. Felt very ill afterwards. Upset with myself that I didn’t walk out earlier.

I had the Aqua treatment with Maddie. This was without doubt one of the best spa treatments I have had ( and I have had a lot, all over the world, USA, UK, Europe and Asia).Maddie was firm but gentle and the srub, mud wrap, sauna, facial and massage was pure blind. Lots of clean fluffy towels, plenty of water to hydrate and a gentle guiding hand. I have no hesitation recommending Maddie.

Staff are lovely and it's a very relaxed and private salon, rooms are far apart its very quiet and cosy. I had a service booked with a girl who was off sick so Elysium messaged me to ask if I was ok to have a male do the treatment or if I wanted to reschedule. I was happy to go ahead but really appreciated being asked what I would prefer. Nathan did a wonderful job and I felt very relaxed throughout the treatment. Will be back for sure

Had a lovely 90 minute relaxation massage with Montana. Felt comfortable throughout and refreshed afterwards. Well worth every minute...I will be back.

Hey Elysium Day Spa, I had an appointment today for a 1 Hour massage and 15 minute facial add on which was less than enjoyable.I have been coming to Elysium Day Spa for a few years now, it's a luxury I can't afford often but look forward to coming to as the service and atmosphere is always relaxing. After a really rough last month, i wanted to treat myself and was really excited.Firstly i would like to say, My beauty therapist Gaye was lovely and tried her very best to make the experience pleasurable, but is clearly as frustrated as i am. The new location didn't mention that the venue would have a very tall, very narrow spiral staircase, that i struggled with due to feet injuries i came to get massaged, and moving into the room, it wasn't until we had gotten started did the speakers started cutting in and out with static, a top 40 playlist that was so loud and distracting anyway, as well as the the cutting in and out and the long periods of silence.I asked Gaye if we could turn off the speaker, Gaye went down stairs to speak with the manager(?) When she came back the speaker was off, but a few minutes later the speaker came back with static the rest of the session.I checked the time once we were finished and i was confused why the appointment had only gone for an hour.When i came to the desk, the man behind the desk asked how it was" and i asked to give some feedback. I explained that i had booked an hour massage and 15 minute facial add-on

Definitely not how it used to be when it was in Doveton Street. I would not class this establishment as a day spa anymore. The whole place was unprofessional. The music didn't get turned on til half an hour into my massage then after a few minutes it went static and was blaring loud popping noises for so long that the massage lady left the room to go tell someone. Then she came back where it continued for a few more minutes until going silent for the rest of the massage. The face washers etc are kept hot in an actual kitchen slow cooker. The reception lady is doing everything on her phone not a computer. The massage had no pressure. The oil wasn't wiped off after massage. Disappointed I didn't actually just ask to leave.

1 star for the lovely young girl's enthusiasm however for $110 for a spa pedicure with no spa and a therapist who is still studying and not even signed off for pedicures! I won't be back. Uncomfortable seating, small bowl to put your feet in, small footrest across therapists knee that moves when she does, a massage leaving me to hold the weight of my legs in the air, no pumice as advertised and my paint is already damaged due to old and thick polish that won't set. I'll go back to my much better treatments at the $40 salons.

Made an appointment. Went to the address on voucher. Was the wrong address. Had already paid for parking. Final found the new premises. The male owner at the front desk did not even care. I ended up out of pocket for the lack of communication from him. The positive was the young girl who did the pedicure was nice. If you have are having a facial, good luck with the stairs. They are so steep, there dangerous. Won’t be going back
