In the business for over forty years, this coffee shop remains popular, especially with the older set who leave with armfuls of coffee beans. I was underwhelmed by my long black, which tasted bitter and was unpleasant to taste. The environs also displeased me as the cafe is in the middle of an industrial park. Food on offer looked tired and unappealing. I won't be going out of my way to visit again

Dropping off the coffee machine to be repaired, so we took advantage of the location. Thumbs up for the espresso. Not only can they roast it, they can express it properly.

TL;DRGood beans, unpretentious coffee advice, good to bad coffee at their cafe.Beans highly recomended.I have been enjoying Cosmerex coffee beans for the last few years, they have a large selection of beans available, pretty much a flavour profile for everyone (I use Nitro") If you dont know what you're looking for I have found the staff to be very straight forward (unpretentious) in the explanation of how you would expect the different beans to taste. I've never been made to feel like I'm some sort of idiot for not knowing about coffee or not having a fancy coffee machine

Just bought some amazing beans from them. Staff were amazing. Made us coffee to try the different beans free of charge and spent quite a bit of time talking to us about the different beans. We previously bought our beans from ONA but find the quality and service here superior in recent years.

These people roast the best coffee around. You can usually park out the front and the service is great. They have food ready to go which is always fresh and they can do something hot in the time it takes to make your coffee

Considering the amount of coffee shops in the area, this place stands out amongst them all! I was here for two weeks and was recommended this place on day 3, my only regret is we didn't find it on day 1! The staff are super friendly at all times (even when I'm a bit of a grump at 6:30am) and the coffee is so flavourful. Most mornings, I've had a bacon and egg roll and it has been incredible. Their donuts are also super soft and fresh.A huge plus is the coffee size, a large is significantly bigger than other nearby cafes and the price is so reasonable too! $4 for a large!I certainly recommend starting your day with a coffee from here!

It's only one star because that's the lowest I can give. After standing at the counter for 5 min waiting to be served when the coffee was ready there was no indication that the coffee was ready, when I finally checked it was a luke warm instead of a long black, even counting to shot of cold water in it. Never again.

Cosmorex is a great little coffee roaster in the heart of industrial Fyshwick.The cafe has plenty of seating inside and out.Updated review on the cafe: it appears that management of the cafe has changed all of the staff. Coffee is now just ok, nothing special. I wouldn't visit here for anything other than the roster now.As a roster I comfortably say they are the best in the Canberra region and as someone who travels regularly I would say one of the best in the country.Definitely worth a visit if you are in Canberra.
