GymbaRoo Werribee

I took my 21 month old daughter to Gymbaroo. This was her second playgroup setting. I found that the lady leading the activities was extremely strict, not accommodating and harshly telling my daughter off on numerous occasions for not doing as she was told. I feel that she should have been patient and friendly with my daughter as everything was so different and new (Gymbaroo is very structured and very different to a typical playgroup). Another reason I found the treatment unfair is because there were other children also who did not follow the leaders strict standards. However for some reason she did not tell them off and the focus was on my daughter.My daughter was used as a model for an activity even though she protested to being physically controlled.The general atmosphere was not welcoming or happy. I'm unhappy with the way my daughter was treated. I'm trying to build her confidence not shatter it. I should have left five minutes into the session when I started feeling uncomfortable.
