Great pool. Great facilities and a wonderful team of staff to help out. Swimming instrutors are great with the kids and wonderful over all.

Open September to March, Emerald has the kind of public outdoor pool complex that would be the envy of most towns.The Emerald Aquatic Centre is packed with facilities, including a 50m international standard pool, a 25m heated pool, a shaded splashpad for little ones and a slide complex with three superb waterslides of varying speeds.The entire centre was overhauled in the 2010s and, complete with shaded grassy space for picnics, presents a first-rate day out for families.

Absolutely could not recommend this place more highly. On our trip up to Townsville, we stopped here to spend 4 very enjoyable hours here having such a fantastic enjoyable time. I even believe it is much better than the Strand Water park in Townsville. Can't wait to return again here soon.

I hate public pools, always too noisy and too busy, but that's not this place's fault. What is their fault is that when I do get reluctantly brought along here by my friends there is never any hot food available despite all relevant signage indicating there is. The water slides are also currently broken because they literally cannot afford to maintain them. In dire need of more council funding in my opinion. Added an extra star because the milkshakes at the canteen are to die for. All in all, mixed feelings about this place so 2/5 stars.

Well-maintained facilities but some of the staff could do with an attitude check. And I'm saying that based on experiences I've had daily over the past few weeks. On top of that, while I respect the rule that even non-swimmers pay entry, it would be easier to stomach if the 'kitchen' functioned much during the week (for those of us just accompanying our kids or families during hours of swimming), and if the fountain area and the spa were actually functioning at all. Not to mention the lack of life guards most days. Oh, and the 2% surcharge on card payments (even for payments for extended passes), without warning, is just another con. Pity it's the only place of its kind for miles. But own maybe that's the problem to begin with!

I recently visited the public pool and unfortunately had a negative experience with one of the staff members. The old man was impolite and seemed to have a negative attitude. It felt like he was being rude and crossing boundaries from small talk. Additionally, he didn't seem to be welcoming, as there was no smile. No wonder there are a lot negative reviews on google map that refer to the staff's attitude, which is concerning.It's disappointing to have such an experience at a place that is supposed to be welcoming to all. I hope that the management will take steps to address these concerns and ensure that all staff members provide a respectful and friendly environment for all patrons.

Beautiful 50 meter pool! So clean it puts other facilities to shame. Splash park, 25 meter pool, and water slides open at specified times. Includes a Cafe. Wonderful facility!

The Best training pool in Australia better than Southport Cairns and Scarborough in Perth. Salt water filters no harsh chlorine smells when you get out. But the most disappointing thing is they close it from Mid May to Mid August. It’s now June 26th and it is 31 degrees it’s hot and a swim in the pool would be nice. I am sure many locals would love to train and swim laps every day over the winter months.Time to seriously Re consider opening up the pool in winter. If you agree please write to the local council and request to have the pool open up over winter so we can exercise and enjoy the sunshine in winter time.Let’s open up the pool asap

Excellent place to spend a day with family or friends to escape the heat. The beautifully kept lawn is great for relaxing on when outside of the pool. There are also 4 barbecue hotplates available for the public.

The old man needs to be welcoming and respectful. He is treating us in a very bad manner, even if we already paid the fees. Unfortunately, they are the only pool in town. Also, they are not listening to any complaints because they are the only pool in town. Accept it or go away.
