Thunderbolt Hideout
Great little spot to explore with the family. Quick easy walk (approx 100m) off the road. No dedicated carpark, just pull up on the side of the road and follow the trail from the info sign.

Very Underwhelming. No real signage once you get off the road onto the path. So you are guessing really where it is. There is a steel plate where it may have once said something.

Nice little walk off the road. Don't miss the cave while checking out the big, granite boulders.

A nice little detour to take. Some people are saying it is hard to find, follow the path from the road and turn left at the intersection. There were some trees down which made what would be an easy walking track just a touch more difficult, but I thought it was worth it.

Great place. Very quiet. But just be careful, a large tree has come down on the path and getting around it even in dry conditions can be tricky. Took a tumble yesterday on the slippery decomposed granite.

Capt Thunderbolt, what a wonderful bushranger. Yet another hideout. Easy walk from the road about 150 metres. Small parking spot at sign. Sign comes up on you quickly. You can explore the caves and area. Easy log to cross to get there.

A short walk up amongst the rocks to Thunderbolts hideout. Not a good walk for mobility impaired, slippery surfaces. Beautiful spot.

Well worth the stop for a quick look. The path you follow is not very long and the overhanging rocks and cave gives you a preview of what you will see at Bald Rock.

Make sure you find the big overhanging rock, a great short walk and very interesting spot.
