Had Steve from metropolitan plumbing round to fix a leaking pipe. Service was great and very friendly. Recommend to anyone who needs a plumber

This business is nothing if not a scam, charged $144 to come out... the quoted $836 to change an electrical plug. Complete ripoff. I can see why they where chased by A Current Affair.

Showed up late, Had a two second look at my hot water system, didn't attempt to light it to see if it works or could be repaired. Then had the audacity to quote $5000 for a new 130L hot water gas tank same for same. Went somewhere else and got it installed for $1500.

Not recommended !!Quote for simple service and check up for our aircon unit was almost three times the price of other quotes. Charged $149 call out fee, since found out the company has had a lot of poor feedback. Had the cheek to plaster the stupid little stickers/decals that have taken paint off the places they stuck them to on our house…. Probably trying to get our future business.

Called metropolitan for a burst pipe through the night not thinking I would be able to get anyone out till the morning. Ruben was there very promptly and was able to get my pipe fixed and water back on. Very happy with the service received.

Must say I'm absolutely disgusted. My partner accidentally hit a water pipe on Sunday night. We knew we couldn't afford after hours plumber prices so we waited until the morning to sort it out. Had a metropolitan plumber come out last night. He was supposed to be here between 4 and 7pm and we had to pay a fee ($141.90!!) to lock in the 3 hour time slot. He arrived at 8pm. No phonecall. No messages. No communication. Then, despite already having another plumber (spoke to him after we'd already booked this joke one and paid the fee) tell us it would be a quick straight forward job and only a few hundred dollars. The metro plumber came out and assessed and had the NERVE to quote us $2.4k with the smuggest look on his face when we said we couldn't afford that and told us the job was tedious and would take hours to do!! Needless to say, we said no thank you and sent him on his way and had the other plumber come out this morning, he fixed it in half an hour max (including chipping out the wall out, which the metro plumber told us to do ourselves to save money" - the quote was still over $2k) and the quote was less than $300. Just appalling the obscene prices they think is okay to charge.If you're considering using metropolitan plumbing

Cost $2,500 to service two split system airconditioners.Didn't need regassing, this was only to clean the inside and outside units. Was complete in less than an hour and didn't require any parts.Technician that attended was also required to place advertising stickers on any appliance they could possibly service (hot water machine, the aircons, etc.) even if they didn't do anything to it.Was also asked to rate 5 stars on a product review website before they left.Incredibly poor value for money.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!! The worst plumbing company out. I paid $3000 for them to repair a leak in my house, I then immediately called in another plumber to fix what they had done when I got home to see how they had damaged my house. Instead of fixing the pipe they drilled a hole in the flashing and ran a new pipe outside of the house right at the front door. When I called to tell them how unhappy I was with the job they had done all the offered was $250 refund. It will cost more than that just to repair the damage to my house. Do yourself a favour find another plumber, any plumber would be better than them.

Brock was amazing and helped us out with our gas leak. Super friendly and quick with solving the problem.
