Beware using Click n Collect.Ordered a part online. When opened.The part had already been used and returned to store as faulty.That the wire ties were in the package unattached

Bought this alternator in November 2022. Worked for 5 months and failed. Did not charge the battery anymore. Spoke to a sales representative George from the virginia store in Queensland. And was told to get it removed and brought back to the store and will be swapped over the bench as they had one in stocks.   Took it to the store next day and encountered Rob.He was one of the worse people to deal with, really didn't care one bit about the customer. Rob laughed at me saying did the other sales rep say we would swap it. I said yes he even put it aside for me yesterday for a swap with a  note on it. Got told by rob that the item has to be sent away for warranty as it was 7 dollars over the limit for swap.  And i asked what do i do in the mean time while you send it away to get assessed.  Instead told  me to purchase another alternator. And that i will get money credited back into my account once the warranty claim had finished. I wasnt comfortable buying another alternator. Considering it had failed in less than 6 months.  And there no guarantees the new one would work and wer does it stop do I keep purchasing alternators until I get one that works and I don't know how long the warranty claim will take to get processed. I told rob i wasnt interested in purchasing another one from the same brand.I left the store feeling disgusted with the way I was treated. That was the first item I bought from Repco and it will also be the last. An hour later i Went to another store to purchase a different brand of alternator to the one being sold at repco. And got a call back from Rob at repco saying the money will be credited back to my afterpay account. I would like to know how the money was able to be credit back before the warranty claim was processed. And if that's the case y couldn't he just do a swap which would have made me happy and the whole encounter would have been pleasant. I now have bought another alternator from a different store and am waiting for the part. This encounter has been a really bad experience and I am not sure if I will ever go back to repco or the virginia store in the future. I have not seen the money credited yet into my account.

Very poor customer service.Rude to customers when unable to do their job at a very basic level. Unacceptable, really need to improve customer service skills and knowledge.
