Mount Burnett Observatory
I have just returned home from a Scout activity with my 6 year old son at Mount Burnett Observatory and I am absolutely appalled at the way the presenter dealt with the group and in particular how she spoke to my son. She was rude and lacked interpersonal skills. She has no ability to build rapport with the children and came across as a grumpy, miserable, disinterested old lady. My son is a fairly outspoken kid but always shows respect and is polite. He can also at times like to make a joke which is what he did tonight when he suggested to her that we just get started". She verbally attacked him

Mount Burnett Observatory
We really enjoyed our experience at public night at the observatory. The volunteers do a wonderful job at coordinating, they are friendly and love to answer any and all questions. We were so lucky to have a clear night and had fantastic viewings of the moon and Orion's belt, and other stars through the smaller telescopes that were available to use. Thanks for a great night! :)PS. This was a ticketed event, so remember to check their website for upcoming events to secure tickets.

Viewing the stars in such a lovely place and environment is truly magical, I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to learn about Space! The staff are lovely and are willing to teach you, they are excellent with children! With some upgrades over the years this Mount Burnett Observatory is a truly wonderful place!

Fantastic Local Community Observatory. They run excellent private viewings and members nights, and open days as advertised on their website. Please note: MBO is run by Volunteers. It is open Only by appointment. You cant just turn up as it only opens for appointment times. You MUST book in advance.

Excellent place to amateurs to start interest in Astronomy and Astrophysics and work with professional people in this field. Appreciate the work done by volunteers in MBO. Will surely visit again

Get in early they book out fast!Even better become a member and attend the weekly (+more) meetings and special events.View the observable universe through one of the club's many telescopes including the 18 beauty under the historic dome!"
