The staff Joshua was very knowledgeable and explained the Aboriginal plants they are conserving and planting for public use to buy. He was very kind in explaining to my sons about the the equipment used by them to conserve the environment. Also garden has a lot of birds and we were treated with a surprise of seeing a white laughing cockatoo standing on a branch.A real oasis for bush walking. No need to go to far such as Dandenong mountain or Kinglake to have great bush walk.

The Sanctuary exists to protect indigenous flora and fauna, and to educate people about them. There are no cafés or toilet facilities inside the fenced area. It's a beautiful meditative place if you accept it on its own terms.

Excellent educational and community resource to see and learn about our local native flora and fauna. The plant nursery has a good range of plants. Of great note is the excellent range of Nesting Boxes produced and sold there. Hours are a bit limited but that's understandable. Look out for upcoming twighlight walks they have. Plenty of parking available and other good facilities such as toilets and a picnic area. Well worth the visit!
