The best pizza I’ve had in Australia - and I’ve been to a good number of pizza joints.Not only does this restaurant have a moody relaxing environment with sophisticated brick arches that make you feel underground away from the rat race, but the staff and food top off as a 5/5 star restaurant.The pizza dough is incredible, with a lovely balance of cheese and ingredients. We ordered a third pizza because it was so good. The pasta is tasty and delightful.You leave feeling satisfied and wanting to return asap.It’s a lovely dinner and you won’t regret it

Amazing atmosphere. Went there recently and had a carbonara which was chef special, galic pizza and lamb. The carbonara was creamy and chewy, it was the best pasta in Canberra. Reasonable price for the quality of food.Quite busy place, so it’s a bit hard to stay longer because I feel a bit rush in dinner time even though it was weekdays.Good food suggestion from experienced staffs.

I imagine this place will be packed for Valentine's Day! The interior is full of rustic charm, and their sharing menu is great value! Next time, I'll try their pizzas. This was my second visit and both times, the food has been consistent with generous serves. The gnocci was very soft, but I'm not a fan of pasta dishes in general. The taste of all meals is reasonable, not superwow.

Came here on a weeknight for dinner. The restaurant is nicely decorated and themed, with good service to match. The pizza was well made but nothing extraordinary for the price. The pastas were generally tasty and texture was really fluffy soft for the gnocchi. The other pasta dishes were a little bland. The panna cotta was a bit too soft like tofu but taste was good being not too sweet. The rhubarb jam was too sour and the crumble was abit too sweet and texture very grainy. Overall a nice restaurant and definitely one of the better ones in Canberra. The prices were ok.

We had a great dining experience at La Cantina. The decor is reminiscent of a wine cellar and there were famous Italian paintings on the walls. The service was excellent and the food delicious. We enjoyed the service, food and atmosphere here.

A good atmosphere and very pleasant staff. Unfortunately the rack of lamb was expensive ($60) and unpleasantly bland! Three of us had it and we were disappointed. But the vegetables were great. Maybe pasta is the strong suit of this restaurant…

We had an awesome meal here celebrating our wedding anniversary. My husband makes his own pesto and pasta so La Cantina was under quite some discerning scrutiny, but there were no disappointments. The burrata, squid ink spaghetti and duck confit ravioli were all delicious. Highly recommend this, with friendly service as well.

Excellent ambience, lovely staff sort attentive. Romantic events recommend. Food was great, go the lamb shank. Pictures are of the lamb shank which had a lovely Smokey eggplant , cabbage and carrot underlay education beautifully complimented the dish. Interestingly they allowed us to have that as an entree, and we ordered two pasta dishes as main(yes we did it backwards). The seafood pasta was nice because the seafood was fresh(not fishy) and the gnocchi, well for those that know, its hard and time consuming to make from scratch, was melt in mouth stuff. The paintings and Roman feel walls with white tables just tipped it for a dynamic romantic dinner on a Sunday night. Will visit again

Really good atmosphere, perfect for a first date.Tasteful food. We tried kitchen and pizza.Pizza with a good crust and topping, original style.Kitchen with a good menu and combination.Good price for quality.Service can be improved.I’ll come back.
