Canossa Private Hospital

My mum passed away on the 4th of November2022 at Canossa and the staff ,Doctors and Nurses were great and so very caring.Thank you all so much

My mum was transferred from QEII on Monday night. I am mums Sole Carer, only family member/daughter and Enacted EPOA. The doctor who also looked after mum last year threatened me today because I raised valid queries as NOBODY had communicated to me other than physio. So I was threatened today by the doctor who said If you're not happy with the way I'm caring for your mum feel free to transfer her to an ED"

I went in for day surgery. From reception all the way to discharge the staff were friendly, professional and I felt in capable hands.Big shout out to my nurses Kate, Jason, Jodi and the rest of the crew for taking care of me.

My mother at 95 had a fall and went frome the QEII Jubilee Hospital to Canossa for long Rehab. I had not had any dealings with Canossa Private Hospital however friends have had family members who had stayed there for one reason or another and reassured me. My mother had a great experience there and (working in a hospital myself) found the care and attention was really really good. We felt that the all the staff worked well together, were friendly and caring. The meals were lovely. So THANK YOU to ALL the staff at Canossa Private Hospital (seen and unseen workers) keep up the great work.Kathryn and Iris Joy Ollson

My mother was sent to Canossa from the Wesley hospital for palliative care . It was a couple of years ago and at the time a mystery as to why mum was sent to a different hospital?From the outset the hospital felt unfriendly , (I am aware this was at the beginning of covid) but something never seemed relaxed and friendly?There were a couple of kind nurses but the staff would obviously have preferred not to be at work!The Doctor (who was in charge) told my mother that my brother and I were the rudest people he had ever met! ? We only wanted the best for our mother , who was a kind , thoughtful person, wanted her to feel safe and happy.One morning mum text me and said “please come quickly , the dr is trying to sedate me!! By the time it took me to drive there mum was sedated , and of course asleep for a day! I could write a novel about how awful this place was , and luckily for us , mum managed to arrange a transfer back to the Wesley and spent her last week happy and cared for !I have not written about all the things that upset me , but I did not sleep a wink while mum was incarcerated at canossa!!!

The worst experience for my grandmother. She was admitted as a respite care patient here. Each day its a new staff, mostly casual staff. So no one basically knows much about grandmother's condition. Many clothes went missing and most of the days we found clothes lying on the floor which was stripped off from grandmother and the staff simply left it there. Also, the staff never tried enough to prompt grandma to eat and drink.

My mum is here currently and the staff and doctors are above 5 stars compassionate , caring great place for quality care my mum passed away on the 13 th whilst at canossa in palliative care . The staff , doctors and nursing staff deserve more than five stars their compassion and care and dignity was soo great I can’t thank them enough

Worked as a chef there for about 18 months. Unfortunately badly injured my left elbow. Had to work through the pain and was toldnot to report the incident" for over a week.When reported

I had my day surgery - wisdom teeth removal, here with Dr Tuffley on the 24/3. All the staff were wonderful and did their all to make my experience as comfy as possible. I arrived at 6:30am and was out by 11am! Thank you all so much for the care and kindness!

Went to Canossa for day surgery and the team were all very nice and cared for me well --from the lady that took care of my paperwork, to the nurses. Kate, Jo, and Jo (I don't have last names!) all took care of me well pre-op and post-op, and couldnt have asked for a better team :)
