Dundees at the Cairns Aquarium
Had an early dinner here with no reservation, got told they were fully booked and my party of 3 could sit at a high top on the side of the patio and then wonderful Glenn came along and got us a table (we just had to leave at a certain time) I got the sirloin with mashed potatoes along with Blackbeards Tiki Treasure and it was delicious!! Service was quick and Glenn was amazing. Had a wonderful experience for our first time in Cairns!! Much love from Ohio!

The atmosphere at Dundee's is magical at night.The undeniable draw is its wall2wall-floor2ceiling aquatic tank boating to be the biggest restaurant tank in Australia. It's HUGE!The modern Aussie menu was varied enough to cater to most people, including those not partial to seafood.There was a large selection of vegan and gluten-free options.I chose the Seafood Spaghetti, which was fresh, jam-packed with a selection of perfectly cooked seafood, and was very generous in it portion size.The prices are steep, at the range where you would expect a more innovative menu. But everything I had was cooked and seasoned to perfection. And the atmosphere was something to behold.The service was amazing. The servers were easy-going, attentive, and fun. I would recommend Dundee's to anyone who wants a unique experience that will be memorable.

Beautiful restaurant with good menu. Food quality and presentation were excellent. I would say one of the best in Cairns. Chilli calamari was very tender though the portion bit small. Crab tart was good. 5 stars for the blue mussels I love the wine creamy sauce so much! Wagyu beef also very delicious. Coffee was excellent. $300 for 4 people for lunch quite pricy but we were all very happy and full.

Amazing food and cute scenery! We had the set 3 course menu, as part of the Twilight Experience. For what you get, the pricing of the set 3 course meal is phenomenal.For starters, I had the calamari. Amazing. Delicate, lightly seasoned and crispy. Highly recommend if you love some good calamari.For mains, I had the duck breast. It was so GOOD! The duck was moist, and the plate is packed, so you're left full.For dessert, I had the coconut and pineapple tarte, which was decent, but I'd recommend the chocolate tarte (which is what my partner ordered).And for a drink, our waitress recommended the Good Karma, which was fruity, fresh and zingy.Overall, a great eating experience. I honestly didn't expect much for the price paid, but they far surpassed my expectations. Definitely recommend - also booking essential!

Loved watching the tank being cleaned whilst having lunch.Quite entertaining being waived at and just watching the fish.The food was delicious. We had a share platter.Service was prompt and friendly.

I have dined at both the waterfront and aquarium now and both have exceeded my expectations. We got the pork belly, kangaroo, seafood platter and seafood pasta. The pork belly was soooo damn good and a HUGE portion! I would recommend going to the waterfront if you want the kangaroo though as mine was a tad overdone. There is a massive selection of desserts and cocktails. If you are going to the aquarium venue then book well in advance and ask for a table against the fish tank.

Walked in here randomly for dinner. Absolutely impressed by the food and service. Steak was cooked to perfection, and has surpassed many steaks eaten in Brisbane. Service was super quick for drinks and food. When dessert menu was requested a ‘dessert tray’ was instead brought around which was amazing. Fantastic view with fish aquarium inside also. Very keen to eat back here again for a great experience!

What a superb time we had at Dundee's.A restaurant that I haven't really had the desire to try but was given a reason to this weekend.At first glance the menu looked ok. As much as you can glean from just reading.We ordered the sausage and chips and steak and chips for the kids which they devoured with utmost pleasure.For the 4 adults, we had the great barrier Reef plate. A two storey fresh and cooked seafood bonanza.Plenty of oysters and mussels to share, seafood layered on top of salad and chips. Was such a pleasure to portion out and enjoy.But the crowning achievement was undoubtedly the gluten and dairy free lava cake.I would have that any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Amazing!Thank you for such a wonderful experience. And if you are considering pampering yourself, Dundee's will do you a beautiful gastronomic day or night out.
