On the good side, the baked pumkin, bread rolls and mushrooms were nice. The dining area was clean. The rest was 3rd rate - the prawn 'cutletts' were like what you get in a bucket at a servo and the servo chip are better. Very disappointing.

The meal was prebooked for a bus load of Evergreens Senior's members. It was a lovely meal at a very reasonable price. They provided meat, vegetables, salads, desserts and tea and coffee.

A local place to stop the drive to refresh and for food on the way in/out of darwin. Big place, lots of room for kids to run around, plenty of car space, bottle shop available, friendly staff. I had the Friday roast beef ($20) sauce was sufficient, but I had double spud portions and that's a little much, don't skip your been veggies. No free Wi-Fi.

Group of 4 had dinner tonight. We opted for 3 regular roast lamb & pork $17 and 1 deluxe lamb roast $21. Great value for money, heaps of meat & gravy on all 4 plates, all you can eat veggie bar, complete with bread roll, butter and sauces. No complaints with the food, service was quick and friendly, but it was packed (which is great for business), but so noisy and a screaming child. Would definitely recommend the food though.

We've been going there for years ,yes I know things are tuff and every now and then you have a bad one (meal ) ,well we had a bad four meals over the months and waiting times vaired from 30min to hour and a bit .... we like the howed springs tavern so thought we would give it another try ... the soup was discusting ,it was water with hard veggies and a few bits off tuff meat . It tasted like dish water , there were a few other patrons ,that also had the soup ,and left theres as well ,and none off the staff asked why we left it , uou would think the cheif or supervising staff would have saod something?? We like to support locals and going out is expensive. We won't be back there for a very long time... very very, disappointing, i wouldn't even gove it one star ,but needed to leave the review,
